Aiming to stay true to the cooking program, this project draws inspiration from farming communities and the formation of culture houses in Denmark. An indepth research led to the conclusion that there was always a central location for gathering despite changes in land distribution. Drawing from diagrams created by examining both the field divisions and the movement of people, the two kitchens and the dining room were situated to create a constant flow of interaction and transparency. The upstairs program aims to mimic a mound, consistent with the theme of nature and fields.

Modular Pegs - Make It Yourself
Technology coupled with good design can deliver efficient and easy to use products, and this is what Modular Pegs aim to do. 3-D printing is used to create a tiling system that anyone can print to hang their belongings. A unit is comprised of the tile, the frame and the peg. Adjacent tiles interlock with a lap joint, which is secured by the frame. The peg is then attached onto the frame. The frame legs are a source of illumination, useful if the product is placed near an entrance. Modular Pegs doesn’t have specified materials as 3-D printing can accommodate so many, allowing customization.
