The Hispania had to settle for third place overall in “Época Cangreja”. “Pesa” defended the title, already awarded last year in “Época Cangreja” class, while “Peter” was awarded the victory in “Época Marconi”. The awards ceremony was held on August 14th with the presence of the President of the Balearic Islands Government, Jose Ramon Bauzà, and the President of the Council of Mallorca, Maria Salom. Bauzà visited the “Hispania” together with his owner, Jose Francisco Rábade, the president of the Balearic Islands Port Authority, Jose Maria Urrutia, and the president of Club de Mar - Mallorca, Borja de la Rosa. Edition 2011 has been, so far, the best edition of the race since, five years ago, the Club de Mar – Mallorca decided to bet on classic boats. Its inclusion in the International Championship circuit of the Mediterranean (CIM) has been a great boost for the trophy this year. Besides the institutional collaboration of the Government of the Balearic Islands, the competition has been sponsored by the company “Hijos de Ramón Peña”.
