a sense of motion exists within the windy site on bowling green’s campus. wind, as a fluid, when related to dynamics created a base for the grapchical representaion of the project. our group associated the heart with dynamics; as the heart, a source of dynamics within the human body, clearly displays the fluid nature of motion that exists both internally and externally. the fluid motion opposed by a filter, forces the circulation to deviate from the dynamic motion and creating atypical movement.
le corbusier : grid composition a juxtaposition beteween a corbusian still life and a grid
the basis for this project was the juxtaposition between a le corbusier still life consisting of a cubist representation of everyday objects, and an orthogonal grid. the focus of this project was the reinterpretation of hierarchical elements from the painting and the grid. scale, positive / negative space, hierarchy, juxtaposition, color, and contrast were all conceptual elements of the work.
