The digital era allows fonts to be designed & critiqued globally. OpenType allows lots of characters to be stored in a single font.
This font originated from a metal inscription local to me, which is original to the artist who carved the mould. The idea of the project is to recreate the typeface as a font for a global audience, created by a global set of type designers.
is a globally manipulated font, as supportive as an uppercase set can be for Latin users. You can add as many or as little characters as you want. They can be complicated like an ampersand, or more simple like a forward slash.
Already I have collaborated with a few typographers across Europe. By the end of the project, the goal
