BRIEF TITLE: Contemporary Japanese Design – Constructing A Brand

The Brief Produce a proposal for an exhibition based on Contemporary Japanese Product Design, located at The Design Museum in London.

Considerations - How will the exhibition be promoted? - How will the exhibition fit in at the Design Museum? - How will the brand work seamlessly over a variety of media, formats and platforms?

Concept/Proposition A theme of ‘monozukuri’ – A key Japanese principle of design. Background Monozukuri: Literally mono= 'thing' and zukuri (tsukuru) 'process of making'. The word has a more intense meaning; monozukuri is about having a state of mind, the spirit to produce not only excellent products but also have the ability to constantly improve the production system and its processes. Target Audience - Design Museum members. - People with interest in product design. - Both Londoners & tourists.

Mandatory Requirements - Sufficient branding to cover the entire event, from start to end date. This should cover external branding (promotion / what customers receive) as well as internal (staff / press branding )

Deliverables - A name for the event - Promotional material – Mockups & Physical - Tickets - Leaflets - Wayfinding mocked up - Staff / Press passes - Web mockups / proposals - Invitations - Souvenirs - Awards?
