2021 Capital District Christian Education Conference
Greetings from Second Episcopal District Christian Education Co-Directors March 13, 2021 Greetings in the Name of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We are honored to bring greetings to the 2021 Capital District Virtual Christian Education Conference under the dynamic leadership of Presiding Elder Johnny Calhoun and First Lady Rev. Patricia Calhoun. We take this opportunity to thank Rev. Karen Myers for her commitment to the work of Christian Education in the Capital District, Washington Conference, and the Episcopal District. For almost a year, the word virtual is a “new” synonym for fellowship. We recognize that although our interactions have changed, we remain members in the family of God! We encourage you in this COVID -19 era to: • Wear your mask – it protects you and your neighbor. Let it remind you of the One who breathes on us and strengthens our spirit! • Wash your hands – it protects you from contamination. Let it remind you of the blood of Jesus that washes and cleanses us from the contaminating effect of sin! • Keep your distance – again, it protects you and your neighbor. Let it remind you that while you may be separated from each other, no distance, in fact nothing can separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Jesus Christ! (Romans 8:38, NSV) Thank you for the work you do as Christian Educators! We look forward to the work you are about to do for Christian Education. You are appreciated! God loves you and so do we!
