The quarterly publication will be available on newsstands from this September. Anna Wintour believes that Goop and Condé Nast are natural partners, and is looking forward to seeing what Gwyneth can bring to the company. Michael Kors acquiring Jimmy Choo

This is the fourth time Jimmy Choo has been acquired. The $1,2 billion deal is expected to be finalized this fall.

Balmain and L'oréal Paris will launch a Capsule Collection Balmain´s creative director Olivier Rousteing announced that this new collection of Colour Riche lipsticks will launch in September 2017. "L'Oréal Paris and Balmain share the same strong vision of femininity and the same goal, to empower women and offer them diverse ways to express themselves," Rousteing said. "With this collaboration, I'm thrilled to make this idea tangible for every woman around the world."

The Texas-born fashion designer and cinematographer has announced his participation in the New York Fashion Week this September. Tom Ford, very well known for his cinematic vision, surprised everyone when stating: "There’s a real tightening in America. When shooting an ad campaign, we now produce three versions: the world version, the conservative version, and the Middle East version. The conservative version is for America."

Once upon a time a little girl who suffered from bullying at school, and ended up Lost, became part of a tv phenomenon. She always kept hope in achieving her dream of becoming an actress,

(which she of course did!) even while working at a neighborhood supermarket. Discover the courage and determination behind her brilliant blue eyes.

ow did you spend your early days at Cambridge? How was school? I was born and raised in Cambridge, England. I left school at 18 as I couldn't afford to go to University. I was working in a supermarket and still at school when I got into modeling. My grandmother entered me into a beauty contest in our local paper behind my back. I ended up coming second but scored a modeling agency out of it. I didn't have a good time at school to be honest. I was bullied for most of it. I couldn't wait to finish school and get on with my life.

What made you come to the US? What memories do you have from your time in New York? What agency did you sign with? I modeled all over the world, London, Milan, Hong Kong, Sydney, Hamburg and more. I always wanted to go to New York and worked hard to build my portfolio to get there. At the time my modeling bookers in London kept telling me I wasn't ready or that my portfolio wasn't strong enough. I listened to them for a while and then I said enough! I'm going! So I got an agent in NYC and off I went with ÂŁ250 to my name. I've never looked back. I always felt that once I got to the states I would be able to start pursuing my acting career. It's really hard to get into the acting industry in the U.K. if you haven't been to drama school or university. One of the things I love about America is that they are more willing to take a chance on someone if they have the drive and determination. It's not all about education here, it's also about talent and passion: The American Dream. I had a wicked time living in NYC. I modeled there for almost eight years whilst simultaneously pursuing acting. My model agency, Ford, had a small acting de-

Did you ever dream about being a model or an actress? If so, how did your family feel about it? I always dreamed of becoming an actress. I never wanted to be a model yet I had a feeling that somehow modeling would get me into acting although I had no idea how it would all pan out. My family were always very supportive and continue to be so. My mum, dad and big sister are really proud of me and that makes me so happy.

partment. I started gigging right away. That department eventually shut down and I was taken over to the main agency. I am still with them to this day. You got to do some commercials for really big brands. Did you ever think that your career was going to involve being a model for a long time? I never believed I would be a model forever as I always knew I would become an actress and I wasn't going to give up until I did. When I got my first big break, a series regular role on a FOX show called Justice in 2006, I was able to officially quit modeling. I was THRILLED!!! I have been solely acting since then. What's lovely is that now whenever I do a photo shoot, it's for a film or TV show or for fun. Not to mention I am treated way better as an actress on a photo shoot than when I was a model. When I was a model I sometimes felt invisible on a shoot or people would outwardly be mean. Thankfully that no longer happens to me as an actress. After having participated in more than 10 projects (TV and movies), with important roles, you were part of the tv phenomenon LOST (we are huge fans of the show) which we think represented a stepping stone for the TV industry. Where you aware of what you were getting yourself into? How was your experience of working with J.J.Abrams? And with the rest of the cast? Did you enjoy filming on Hawaii? Any particular anecdote that you would like to share with us? After Justice was canceled in 2006 I went back to the grind of getting my next job. Eight months and many auditions later I got the part of Charlotte Staples Lewis on LOST. I knew of the show at the time, obviously. You'd have to have been living under a rock at the time to not know what LOST was. I knew it was a big deal going into shooting the show that this was something really special. LOST changed the face of television for its time. It brought Science fiction to the masses and made it cool to geek out on a show and have viewing parties with friends to theorize about what it all meant. I had an epic time in Hawaii with the other cast members. We all got along well and everyone made me feel welcome from my very first day. A lot of the cast were musical and some nights we would sit in the jungle between takes singing songs and playing guitar under the stars. Magical. If you were to choose your favorite role, which one would it be? I have really been enjoying playing The Wicked Witch of the West on Once Upon A Time for the past three years. It's so much fun to play this character, who also goes by the name "Zelena". The writers on the show do an amazing job of writing flawed, multidimensional Villains. She's a joy to play. I love to going to work on this show. Such a blessing!

If you had to choose to be another person, who would that be? And if you had to choose another profession? If I had to be another person I would be disappointed. I'm not perfect by any means but I like being me. I'm a work in progress and I'm not done yet. As for another profession, there's nothing else I'd rather do than this. I don't believe in having a Plan B, a "back up plan" if you will. By doing that you're saying that your dreams may not come true. Those things might not work out. I always felt I had to be all in. Like the late, great, Wayne Dyer said, with a book by this title, "You'll see it, when you believe it". Not the other way around. Everyone who knows you says that you are a blast…..any particular experience in which being that funny didn’t help? Any weird situation? What do you love the most about your job? I love my job as I've mentioned and one of the things I enjoy is making people laugh. I've done a couple of comedies but I usually end up playing more dramatic roles. In these instances I take to entertaining the crew instead. During a long day shooting in the snow and at night, a good sense of humor can go a long way!

You look stunning in ONCE UPON A TIME…..what´s your special magic trick? I don't really have a magic trick for looking good on the show. It's more down to the talented hair and makeup department that transform me into the Wicked Witch. My part in it is simple, get as much sleep as possible, drink lots of water and take my vitamins! Where will we see you soon? any projects in mind? As for what's next, I don't yet. I am excited for what's next in my career. Stay tuned!

With a succesful career as filmmaker, directing music videos with Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Brittney Spears,.. this super talented Norwegian artist con-

tinues to amaze us with his photography. It is a priviledge for us to have his work on our cover, as well as in the interior, with some really insipiring stories.

ow did you become involved in filming? Was it at an early age? I started shooting portraits of my friends when I was a teenager. And I got involved with a regional TV station part time while I was still at school. Back then, it was the perfect place to learn. Today, of course, things are different and you can create amazing visuals with pretty inexpensive equipment at home. And the best way of learning is still to experiment and learn as you go. As well as finding mentors, of course.

In which media/format do you believe you can express your visión better….video or photography? I love working with both stills and motion. When I direct, I usually work with bigger productions. but what I really enjoy with photography, is that you don’t need all the crew and equipment needed for motion. You can create world class imagery with just yourself and a small camera. And anyone can do it, it doesn’t require a big budget.

What or who were your inspirations being a youngster? Did MTV play a big role in you becoming a film director? MTV definitely played a role, and I also directed music shows for Norwegian TV when I was 19-20 that made me fall even more in love with the music video format. When I was 21, I had done pretty much everything I could with TV back home in Norway, and I set a new goal: To shoot music videos for the world’s biggest stars in Hollywood. I made a ten-year-plan for how to get there. Fortunately, it only took 4 years. It was a very hard journey, but I’m glad I did it!

The word “sleek” definitely defines your work…..is there any other word you would also like to be associated with your art? Thanks. I’m not really looking to be defined though. I like to create a variety of expressions, and not shoot the same thing over and over.. When and why did you decide to move to the US? I moved to the US in 2004, after I had developed my craft and portfolio in Europe. Where do you spend most of your time now? I’m based in Miami, but I travel a lot. I mostly work in LA, Miami and Norway these days, but also shot in places like Brazil, South Africa and Belize recently.

We have seen quite a few music videos taking a huge step forwards in terms of production values. Do you believe this is something we should be expecting more in the future? Well, a lot of hjgh end budgets were around 10 times as big as they are now back in year 2000. So the largest productions in music video history happened back then. But on the other hand, thanks to the digital revolution, it’s become much cheaper to shoot high end visuals now, so it’s much easier to work with lower budgets now From all the videos you have directed, which one is your favorite? I wish I had a good answer for that… But here’s a few of my favorites: http://www.raykay.com/best-music-videos/ How was the experience of working with such big stars as Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé,… They’re just people.. But I learned a lot from working with Beyonce and Lady Gaga. They are super involved in the process, and their success is definitely not by chance. Do you feel more comfortable shooting fashion editorials or commercial photography? I’m comfortable with both, but I have more fun when shooting edgy editorials, of course :) What are your favorite locations to shoot? I guess shooting in beautiful nature is my favorite! Is there any model you would like to shoot and you haven´t yet? Many :) I love shooting with new people. Is your photography style more influenced by european or american publications? I’m not sure. I just try to do my own style, and have picked up influences from a ton of sources all over the world.

Scott Listfield wants us to see what he sees, feel what he feels. And what better way to do so than making us participate in his particular vision of the world: past, present and future. He is the cosmonaut in his illustrations, and so we are, watching what surround us. Using an anon-

ymus and faceless third person view as the perfect vehicle to make us see throught his eyes, the hidden eyes of the cosmonaut. From the cold war era to the actual convoluted political situation, Scott covers almost all iconic elements from the last 30 years.

ell us about your origins, your childhood. Do you come from a family of artists? (What did your parents do?) My origin story? Well, when I was bitten by a spider once, but all that happened was my hand blew up to twice it's normal size and I developed the super power of having to go on anti-biotics. But before all that though, I was just a kid who liked to doodle in the corner of my notebook in school. I can't really say I come from a family of artists. In fact, my parents were largely mystified by my interest in drawing as a child, which probably grew to something resembling total consternation when I decided to study art in college. My mother is a teacher and my Dad worked in banking, so art and the art world didn't come naturally to them, but they are now amongst my biggest supporters. And I've since found out that, beyond my immediate nuclear family, I do have a lot more artists in my family than I first thought. My cousin, Kim Gottlieb-Walker, is an incredibly talented photographer, and I have lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins who have worked, or at least dabbled, in painting, drawing, music, and many other art forms.

is a very decent school that is not exactly known for it's art department. I signed up for a drawing class my first semester there, largely because I was 100% sure I enjoyed drawing, and I was less sure about Anthropology and Math. About halfway through that class something clicked, and I decided I'd probably major in art. A year later I took my first painting class and although at first I almost certainly sucked at it, I eventually decided it was going to be something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. It wasn't until years later, though, that I stumbled into painting astronauts and kind of accidentally found my life's calling.

How did you form your technique? (what did you study, where, why) Have you always had a vocation for painting? Although I had always enjoyed drawing as a child, I had no real intentions to pursue art as a career until I went off to college. I went to Dartmouth, in New Hampshire, which

How did you get to where you are today? Who gave you your first "big break"? I painted my first astronaut painting way back in 1999. I then spent about 5 years not making too many more of them. Around that time I decided to get 'serious' (my definition of 'serious; included making a painting of Chewbacca) and make enough paintings to pursue a gallery show. Which I did. And I got a show! And then another one! And then the gallery I was working with went out of business, along with every single other place I had ever shown with during the economic recession of 2008. Over the years, I've had to remind myself a number of times that art careers are not linear. They go up and then back down and you have to continue to have faith in what you're doing, especially at times when no one else does. And so I did consider giving up the whole astronaut thing. But instead I decided to, rather stubbornly, double down on it, and keep painting them even though they were just piling up in my house. At the time, things like Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and iPhones were just

Interview starting to become a thing and so, this might sound obvious now but it wasn't at the time, I decided to blast my work all over the internet. I slowly built up a following of people all over the world who found my work online and decided, for whatever reason, that they liked it. Eventually those kind folks started buying prints. And then they started buying original paintings. And then galleries (like Gallery 1988, Thinkspace, and Gauntlet Gallery) started calling me.

How and why did you come up with the idea of the astronaut? Is it you or do you identify with him? Around the time I was 21, in my last year of school and a little after graduation, I spent some time living and traveling abroad - mostly in Italy and Australia. Eventually I realized I needed to figure out what to do with my life, so I returned home to Boston, found a somewhat crummy entry level job and a somewhat crummy entry level apartment, and did my best imitation of an adult. When I was living far away from home, I got used to the idea of being a stranger, a visitor, an explorer, everywhere I went. I never totally got the local customs and the people there never totally got my American accent. I assumed, though, that once I got back home that feeling would fade away, but much to my surprise it didn't. I remember wandering into the supermarket, just looking for some cookies, and being overwhelmed by the number of choices. There were like 16 different kinds of Oreos! I eventually gave up and went home hungry. Riding the bus to work, going to the laundromat, trying to cook Ramen noodles over a hot plate for dinner, watching television. I did it, but it all seemed slightly unnatural to me. I felt like an alien in my own land. And so I started thinking of making a series of paintings that I wanted to be short stories about how strange and disconnected I felt from the modern world. I wanted there to be a character, a protagonist, in each one, but I wasn't sure what or who it should be. I had spent most of my college years painting self portraits, but I didn't want the character in these pieces to be me. I liked the idea a nameless and faceless explorer, so that people looking at these works could easily slide into his or her shoes. Right around this time, as all of these ideas were swirling in my head, I watched the Stanley Kubrick film 2001: A Space Odyssey for the very first time. I realized right then and there that I wanted to take the astronaut from the fictional 2001 and plunk him down in the real 21st century, and have him be my explorer. I grew up in the 80s and 90s, watching a lot of science fiction cartoons, movies, and reading comic books, and the future was always filled with flying cars and talking robots and people living on the moon. And yet here I was,

living in a future filled with Starbuck's, reality TV, and the single serve pizzas I was largely surviving off of. The astronaut captured this idea of what I thought the future was going to be like, and so seemed a perfect person to have wandering around in the future we actually ended up with. And so yeah, I guess it's me in that astronaut suit. But I'm hoping that other people can see themselves in there as well.

Some references define it (astronaut) as lost, dejected or as a simply curious observer. What is the true feeling that is hidden behind the space helmet? Well I prefer to let people looking at my work figure that out for themselves. I know that's an arty thing to say, but it's true. I think some of my works feel more sad while some feel much more optimistic and hopeful. Some of them are funny and some are just kind of ridiculous. There's a wide range of human emotions out there, and I think it's kind of boring to focus on just one of them. I do try to keep the expression of the astronaut, which is obviously just captured in the way he (or she) is standing or looking at things, open and inquisitive. From there you can decide yourself if being lost is a good thing or a bad thing. Do you consume the brands/movies of the products that appear in your works? Is it possible that one of them is displayed on the wall in one of the offices of McDonalds or Google? (Tell us about the feedback of your works with their "protagonists", some anecdote ...) Some of them are things I love and are a pivotal part of my upbringing (like, say, Star Wars) and others are things that are kind of ubiquitous in the landscape we've built for ourselves but are not really things I enjoy on a regular basis (like fast food). For the most part, I don't know what the response is from places like McDonalds or Coke to my work. I'm guessing they largely don't care one way or the other. Although one of my most popular paintings, Men's Room, which takes place in, well, a men's room, alongside a urinal. And I once received an email from the president of the company that manufactures those urinals. He loved the painting and bought a print to hang in his office. I thought that was pretty cool.

You have developed your art for almost two decadesâ&#x20AC;Ś will the astronaut always have a present to explore or one day will it become relegated and you will surprise us with another masterpiece (brilliant piece)? I've always said that as long as I enjoy painting astronauts, and I can keep thinking of new places for my astronaut to explore, that I'd keep on painting them. And even though over the past couple of years I've made way more paintings than at any previous time in career, I feel like I probably have more ideas now than I ever have before. And so I guess I'll keep making them. And the present just keeps getting weirder. It's both more futuristic and somehow more backward looking than it ever has been. What is your own favorite piece of work? (Explain us about its) Oh I don't have a favorite. My paintings are like having kids, you can't really choose one over another (although maybe you do in secret). I have some that have become more important, like Men's Room which has become my top selling print and pops up in bathrooms around the world, and others like Lost Highway, Moonage Daydream, and Map of the Stars which were used as the images for important shows during my career. And I've made a few recent paintings, like Empty Palace and Make America Again, which are more overtly political and I think carry an important and timely message beyond what most of my work does. But I try to make paintings that each say something in their own way. And of someone else? Do you have references? I'm not sure exactly what you're getting at with this question. Do you mean, is there someone else, maybe somebody important or famous, who has a favorite piece of mine? If so, I can't think of anything off the top of my head. Is there a link between painting and fashion? How do you define your style? (Wearing) (And If it has not been answered...) Oh, definitely. Maybe not for every artist, but I'm definitely interested in fashion, along with design, architecture, music, photography, film, and a lot of other media that you might not always think are directly related to painting. Within my paintings themselves, the very specific look of the astronaut suit has taken on an increasingly important role. I love the material it's made out of. It's very reflective. Sometimes it appears stark white and other times it takes on colors

Interview and elements of the setting. It bends and folds in interesting ways. Even though I've painted it over 250 times now, I still enjoy it, which I probably wouldn't be able to say if I had to paint a less interesting piece of clothing that many times. As for my own sense of style, I'm not sure exactly how I'd describe it. But it's been something that's important to me ever since I spent some time living in Italy back when I was in school. Up until then it wasn't something I thought about a lot, but I realized then, it's not about looking glamorous or wearing designer labels, but it's about presenting yourself in a way that is unique to you. Having an individual voice is something that has always been important in my artwork, and so why wouldn't it also be important in the way I dress myself? Which not to say I wear purple headscarfs and orange sneakers. My style is much more understated. I like Varvatos, All Saints, Topman, Converse, and a simple pair of Levi's Jeans. Although I'm budget conscious so I will often buy cheaper versions of clothes that look kinda like that. These days, though, I mostly wear paint splattered jeans and a shirt.

What is the message you want to shout to the world through your works? Here you can do it directly, without paintings or canvases... Well, as I said before, I prefer to let my paintings do the talking for me. I'm interested in the future, but I'm also interested in how our ideas of the future effect what we're doing right now. We all grew up watching movies like Back to The Future, Terminator, Mad Max, Alien, and Star Wars. How does that effect how we think about climate change, technology, and space exploration? The future in popular culture is often a bleak place. But does the future we're making right now have to be? I hope not. If people look at my paintings and start thinking about some of those things, that's great. If they just look at them and say “Oh cool, an astronaut.” Well, that's not too bad either I guess. Do you have more dreams? (future projects...) Oh, I've always got dreams. As for future projects, I've got gallery shows coming up in Los Angeles, Montreal, and Chicago. I'm also thinking of ways my astronaut can explore beyond the confines of a canvas and, possibly, on a larger scale. Not sure where those ideas will go, but stay tuned. After 5 years, Liliana is modelling for her own campaign “Maldives”, together with top model Emma Golijanin. This business woman, creator of the swimwear brand “LILIANA MONTOYA SWIM” since 2006, has been involved in many fashion shows such as MBFW, Funkshion Fashion Swim Week, Miami International Fashion Week, and many more.

hat was your main motivation to launch your own swimwear brand in 2006? It was the result of many factors. It all started in 2006, when I graduated as Fashion Designer, and had to prepare a project. I presented a very original bikini collection, with such a huge success that I inmediately knew my real passion was to design swimwear. On top of that, I have always been very creative, and mixing beach and fashion was just the perfect combo. Had you worked as a swimwear model before? I had the chance of doing runways, campaigns and fashion editorials before. I also represented Colombia in Miss Hawaiian Tropic which opened the doors to America. In which ways do you believe the fact of being born in Medellin (Colombia) has influenced in your desings? It has played a major rol. My designs express my personality. I am a very thoughtful woman who loves colors, joyful embroideries and patterns, which definitely reflect my origins in Medellin. When designing your bikinis, what is the profile of the woman you imagine wearing them? I always think of a young spirit woman, who is also coquettish, happy and very charismatic. What has been your best experience in a fashion show as a designer? Definitely the opening of the Miami Beach Centennial Celebration. I was invited by the Major to do the opening catwalk of the biggest event of 2015, the birthday of my city, Miami, which was sponsored by Funkshion Fashion Week. How was your overall experience in the mercedes-benz fashion week swim in 2015? MBFW brought me an inmense personal satisfaction, since it was the last year MBFW organize a fashion show in Miami Beach. It was a huge professional success in my career.

You always try to include sexy and romantic details in your designs, do you believe it plays a big rol to differentiate your brand from other swinwear brands? The key differential factor in my designs is the brandÂ´s icon, the shape of a heart. A gold color metal piece that represents my Brand, as well as all my passion, perseverance and love for my creations. My bikinis have their own identity. I work with a wide variety of designs so my clients have more options when selecting the bikini they are going to buy. It is essential that when customers see my bikinis, they can easily recognize my brand. That is the essence of my heart shaped logo. Is it one of your main goals that women wearing your bikinis get to feel like they are mermaids? My main objetive is that they feel comfortable, like fish in the water. Mermaids are part of a complex mythology. The ocean is my resting place, my inspiration, and a place to look for serenity. This is one of the reasons why we as women need to feel very comfortable with our own skin when going to the pool or to the beach. So this is when my inspiration from mermaids comes to my designs: the necessity of being comfortable while being stylish. What are your plans for the future (mid and long term)? Both terms are very closed to each other: my growth as a professional as well as a woman. Being a wife, daughter and planning on being a mom. I am very aware that to achieve success, there has to be a great harmony between the mind and the spirit. I work everyday on building that harmony. Would you like to model again? This year is full of nice surprises: after 5 years I am back as a model to be the image of my own Brand, together with Bosnian top model Emma Golijanin, which represents a huge challenge for me.

Has miami become the city in which you would like to spend the rest of your life? Definitely. Miami is my home. I love everything in Miami: the weather, the ocean, the people, the city, the food, the architecture,… I love living in Miami. Since I was a little girl I imagined myself living in a city with sun, and after many years of hard work, persistance and sacrifice, I am happy living in Miami. What do you do to have that spectacular body? I invest a lot of time taking care of myself. Those who know me can tell you how self-discipline plays a big role in my exercising routine: hot yoga, spinning and boxing. On top of that, I watch very carefully my eating habits. I got rid of red meat and I basically eat vegetables and grains only. On the other hand, in order to have a beautiful body you also need to feed your soul. In which ways do you consider your recent marriage has influenced in the way you see life and yourself as an entrepeneur? My husband´s love gives me the tranquility and shine that fullfil my life. A wise man recently told me that there are 4 essential necessities in life: a roof, food&water, a partner in life and spirituality. Thanks to my husband, these 4 elements have turned into harminy in my life. I am a happily married woman, very fortunate to live this part of my life with my couple, in family.

How is liliana in her daily life? I am a woman with a high self-discipline, and very home-loving. I start with my daily routines very early, working in the mornings and dedicating time for myself in the afternoons. Practising yoga, cardio, or any other training activities are paramount in order to liberate stress and tensions. I also like spending time with my family and friends, and going ot the beach on weekends.

HUMANZ by GORILLAZ GORILLAZ is back, and so far, 2017 is being an excellent year for the British virtual band.

fter releasing their new album, HUMANZ, back in April, which included 14 songs and featured special collaborations like De La Soul, Mavis Staple and Popcaan, Damon Albarn and his team have been quite busy on tour, which was preceded by their own festival, DEMON DAYZ, which took place in June 10th, in Dreamland (Kent, UK). WHO KILLED /204 LAURA PALMER? DOES TWIN PEAKS REALLY CARE?

hose of us who were lucky enough to be a part of the worldwide TV phenomena that idiosyncratic director David Lynch, together with TV screen writer Mark Frost, could not be more excited about this return.

Twin Peaks set a standard in television for a decade (90´s), as well as undoubtedly inspired the business to this time. Back then, TV shows were run by the director, and not the screen writer or showrunner, as we can see in the present. The original series pilot, with a plan B in mind (releasing a full movie targeted to Europe´s video market), was the perfect set up for introducing us to this strange town, with even eerier characters living there. The perfect mix of, mystery, noir, sex, avant-garde,… So is this return to Twin Peaks worth the wait? Well, since we are doing a review of this new season, we have to be totally honest and unbiased. If you loved the original, there are many chances you will enjoy this comeback, since it keeps all the elements that made Twin Peaks so great. But that includes everything: cheesy dialogs, bizarre scenes, and a visual concept that doesn´t stray away much. It feels like this return was filmed right after season 2, if it weren´t for how the actors show the inevitable passage of time.
