Ø Car Park o Incorporated Precast Concrete Panels and components which were laid and set on site o Used for storage purposes

Victoria Street Site – ICON Constructions -‐ Multiple Building Commercial Project -‐ Apartment/Work Buildings -‐ 3 Cranes Operating On Site ⇒ Heavier Structure (Prefabricated Concrete) ⇒ Lightweight Structure (Steel/Timber Framework) § Although a lightweight structure, the building had alterations in footings and foundations due to added levels/floors on the building. o Steel reinforcing beam incorporated § Loads need to be adequately distributed down through the structure to ensure quality assurance (ultimately so the structure doesn’t fail)

ü A Temporary column which acts as further reinforcement and holds loads ü Concrete chamfered edges for aesthetic and OH + S purposes

The Apartment Balconies must undergo a great deal of waterproofing, thus the construction of waterproof membranes are needed.

Layers include: I. Waterproof Membrane II. Application of Screed III. Membrane IV. Concrete Slab (Drain already cut out) & Coating V. Tiling ⇒ Certain areas need acoustic and waterproof membranes ⇒ A living room area may incorporate acoustic membranes in order to reduce leakage of noise downwards to other apartments •

In relation to Week 7’s ‘E-‐ learning’ the primary purpose of a roof is to a sheltering element to enclose internal spaces. The temporary walkway through the site, incorporates corrugated iron on a moderate roof pitch that sits on purlins and distribute their loads through the columns and wall systems. Primary Structure – Timber framework

A bathroom incorporates a double membrane on the flooring and waterproofing takes place on walling areas where water may affect the RATE OF AGEING of a structure.

§

The large fans incorporated into the car park are used for purposes mentioned in ‘Vignette 6’ such as HEALTH impacts of Construction. o Simply put, it reduces toxicity by removing fumes from cars

v Span between concrete wall systems v Concrete slab floor system [Depth of floor system = Relates to span + Strength of Concrete] v Loads transferred through wall systems from above forces

§

The diagonal supports are temporary reinforcement to ensure the wall systems remain erect throughout its construction process

⇒ Swimming Pool Prefabricated Steel Framing ⇒ Primary Structure incorporates Galvanized Steel (used to stop rust), and Steel. ⇒ The structure incorporated columns, roofing joists and foundations o As per ‘Vignette 6’ material selection must considers the LIFE CYCLE of the swimming pool.
