FROM THE EDITOR
BLOSSOM WHERE YOU'RE PLANTED II know that copying is the best form of flattery but I am not you and you are not me. I can learn plenty from you. I can be inspired by you. I can be mentored and coached by you but there is specifically something for each of us to do in the garden, place, city, state and country where GOD designed for you to be. You may have to rearrange, start over or scrap your first idea to be all that God intended for you to be. I must confess that I was supposed to release this magazine issue so many months before that I am ashamed to admit it. I had about 3 different covers, different articles, etc. Why? Life happened and I delayed the release of this issue of the magazine. The beauty is that I can delay it. It wasn’t ready so why put out garbage? Not on my watch. I have been planted in southern Indiana, definitely not something I wanted but God planted me there. I wanted to be an award winning singer but GOD had other plans. Award winning publisher instead. I’m good. I do know that if I don’t bloom, agree with, say ‘yes to God’s will’ I would not be able to bloom, blossom, grow and expand anywhere because I’m trying to do something that is NOT in God’s will. He won’t bless what He DID NOT plan and ordain. God pays for what HE ORDERS. Finally, are you in the wrong place, garden, land, city, country, industry, job, relationships and/or mindset to actually bloom into the best you that you can be? If your answer is yes, then move, shift, pivot, relocate, leave, go or run to the place that you can bloom into the greatest you that the world has ever seen. Let’s go!

Boss Mindset, Boss Moves When I retired in June of 2018, I promised myself I would go ‘hard in the paint’ for 3 to 5 years. As of this magazine release, I am entering year 5. How time has flown by! I have worked extremely hard but more importantly I have been focused solely on my businesses. I don’t have another ‘job’ to get distracted by, be delayed by, at times be controlled by, especially my schedule or keep my other businesses’ activities a secret from. I am focused solely on my businesses. It is both awesome and terrifying all at the same time. I am able to make decisions strictly on my desire, budget and time for what is best for me and my businesses and not what someone thinks, decides or budget allows for. I decide. That I love the most. Yes, I’m Julia Royston and I do have control issues. On the other hand, that was a “Boss Mindset” change and switch. I had made decisions concerning my business before but now it was on a whole different level. With a “Boss Mindset”, focus and drive, comes some different moves. I’m able to make more “Boss Moves” with the new freedom to focus and drive. I’m able to switch, change, cancel, add or adjust my schedule on a dime and not worry about getting fired from a ‘job.’ It allows me to meet clients when it’s convenient for them whether that’s early in the morning or later in the evening or even outside of my normal working hours. It’s a new season and a new day. In the past the word Boss meant that you had arrived at a certain money level or status but being a Boss to me, means that you are the living God intended for you to lead. It doesn’t matter how much you make as long as your house is taken care of, your family is straight and your future is bright with a pension, retirement or other investments. Agree or disagree, that is a real BOSS to me. So my challenge to you is to define Boss for you and you alone. Secondly, write down that definition and 10 things/wishlist/bucketlist/todolist that you need to work on to live that BOSS life for you and your family. Change your mind, change your moves and then change your life. Enough said. Enjoy the rest of the magazine and especially, please support or share the authors that are in this magazine. Let’s go! 4 Habits for Better Relationships Rosalind Jones Jacksonville's Best Caregivers www.jacksonvillesbestcaregivers.com info@jacksonvillesbestcaregivers.com
We’ve been talking about building extraordinary relationships to be successful in every area of your life as a caregiver. Here are 4 more habits to implement. 1. Realize when you have been acting or speaking badly. Apologize before you are asked to or even before others notice you’ve acted poorly. Being responsible is a key part of cultivating better relationships. When you take the blame, say you are sorry and explain why you are, and don’t try to push the blame onto someone else, you become the type of person everyone wants in their lives. 2. Give consistently. Don’t think about what you want. Instead think about what you can give to others. Giving is the best way to establish a deep and lasting connection with others. 3. Put value in everyone’s message. Strip away the packaging of status, authority and power of others and listen to the advice, ideas, and thoughts of everyone based on merits. Never automatically discount a message simply because of the person. 4. Some relationships will start small and may remain that way. That’s okay. Every relationship, however minor or fleeting in your life, has some value to it. It could be that they are just a part of your life to brighten your day with a smile.

The Book Business Boss Show! WWW.ENVISION-RADIO.COM The Book Business Boss Show is my 14+ years of writing, publishing and promotional knowledge, information and legacy to the world. I was given an opportunity to have a second show on www.envision-radio.com and I took it. Live Your Best Life is my first show and heard each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. on www.envision-radio.com but it is dedicated to all aspects of my life. Writing, music, interesting people and information on a wide variety of topics but the Book Business Boss is dedicated to writing, publishing and promotion, period. The show is 30 minutes and there are no guests just information for the literary industry student and enthusiast. I want it to be a timeline, walk through the process and also a reference tool so that I can refer clients and non-clients alike back to shows that I’ve already recorded. It’s called repurposed content but also re-applied content. Reapplied content can be used over and over again to help new, inexperienced people understand the writing, publishing and promotional process. I must also confess that when you provide quality content, it can lead to a potential client for my businesses. We are currently at 20 episodes. The first 20 episodes have primarily been dedicated to writing, thinking about writing and the writing process. The atmosphere, calendar and writing prompts will help the most struggling writer to finish and complete their book. Tune in to The Book Business Boss Show each Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. on www.envision-radio.com. Catch the replays at www.bookbusinessbosspodcast.com. Let’s go!

Your support system should be just that, supportive. It is hard for many of us to ask for help. Even more so, it is hard for ministry leaders who have both destiny and call to discern those who are the “right fits” for their lives. Can they be trusted with upholding the execution of divine purpose in their lives while safeguarding a vessels humanity? Many wrestle with the following questions: When do I ask for help? In what situations have I asked for help in the past? When I ask for help, what am I feeling? What do I think will happen? Do I have negative or positive expectations? Am I surrounded with the right people? Support systems are only effective if you use them. A support system is made up of people who intentionally provide support, value, and attention. In ministry and in life, these are comprised of people who are in your corner. Individuals, who have this level of access and proximity, do not judge you or ridicule you. The Right Support System is comprised of key individuals who are genuine and work in your best interest. Their support is not self-serving. They have a positive impact on your ministry endeavors and personal goals. There is an ebb and flow to support. The Right Support System is a book that will help you identify the essential dynamics of critical relationships that will help mover your personal goals, life and ministry forward. -Archbishop Q.S. Caldwell, Th.D., D.D.

Hi, I'm Tia' Nicole, a Wellness Advocate and Dog Mom born and raised in Greensboro, N.C. currently working for a financial services company in Charlotte. Now, I know what you're thinking, what the heck does that have to do with this book? Well, nothing really lol, so let me get to the good stuff, the reason why you're here! You want to know, "why did she write this book, what does she know"? Great question! I am here to make the world aware of the term "unlearn” in terms of human behaviors. Why? Because society's idea of “ideal” is all wrong! One definition of unlearning is: To put out of one's knowledge or memory (learned behavior from birth). 2. To undo the effect of and discard the habit of past learned behavior. So, with that being said, I challenge you to do some research on unlearning, you won’t regret it. My hope is that this book can be a go-to for people when they are feeling down or hopeless. I often refer to it in those moments when I feel sad or when I catch myself being a victim. The book reminds me that I am no one’s victim but in fact, I am a victor. I have been through so much, just like most everyone, and now I want to inspire others just as I have been inspired by hundreds of self-help books and eBooks. Now that you have read a little bit about me and what possessed me to write this book, sit back, relax, grab your favorite drink, and get ready for some ah-ha moments and a few chuckles (not sure why but I love the word chuckle lol). Thank you for taking the time to read this and welcome to the beginning of our journey together, I’m so glad you are here! Last and certainly not least, forgive those who need forgiveness, and most importantly, FORGIVE YOURSELF! Happy reading!!

Anna Maria Isgro Nationally, in the United States of America, way over half of both men and women have reported being sexual harassed and /or assaulted in their lifetime, according to the National Sexual Violence Resource Center website, www.nsvrc.org. Also according to the World Health Organization, 40 million children all over the world are abused each year, as documented by the International Center for Assault Prevention's website, www.internationalcap.org. And that's just the reported rapes. We are all born loving perfect little babies into our environments we are not responsible for, and then life goes on. If we become victims of circumstances and events, we endure and either suffer or seek help as a victim to somehow become a victor. It is my prayer that this poem will help you articulate your feelings and cause you to be victorious in Christ Jesus' Peace as you seek God's ways that He spoke of.

Beverly J. Scott Born and raised in East Jefferson County Ky on my grandmother’s farm, I learned all about farming life at an early age. My grandfather and grandmother Mr. & Mrs. Ben McAtee had nine children and a house full of grandchildren. We all lived in the house that my grandfather built. My mother Julia Aline Thompson had five children. Her sister Frankie Robinson had five children. The house was very full. We planted vegetables and had apple trees, pear trees and grapes to pick. At the age of nine my mother married my step dad and we moved in the city of Louisville Kentucky. Growing up in the city was quite different, busy streets crowded stores. I attended Male High School, graduated and went to Jefferson State Community College. I also attended Watterson College and earned my degree at the School of Hair Design in Louisville Kentucky. I am a mother of two children Cassandra Simmons and Frederick Deon Simmons. I am a grandmother of one Rakin Johnell Nelson. I fostered three children and raised seventy five children. Chaplain Karen Wilkins, BCC In October 2017, God had gave Karen a vision to start a prayer call during her Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) residency called Releasing The Word International (RTWI). In April 2020 after praying and sharing peace scriptures several days a week on my prayer call RTWI, this book was born. She wrote this prayer/scripture journal during the pandemic in 2020 knowing that so many, including herself, were facing crisis, life storms and unsettling times. As a chaplain working as an essential employee dealing with so much, she struggled with sadness, loss and grief and she needed peace. She knew the only peace she would find would be in God and in his Word. So she began to go through the Bible, dissecting the various scriptures on peace, but at the end of the day, she knew the peace sough was God. He is our peace. She prays that this prayer/scripture book will allow you to find the peace that you are seeking during your pain, tears and disquieted times. Karen Wilkins is a mother, grandmother, author, minister and board certified chaplain. She is in continued pursuit of creatively and actively seeking after her peace, while incorporating scripture and prayer. They are twins, working together for the common good. In 2020, she found herself on a journey of peace and prayer in life’s pandemic and pandemonium. Life was happening, COVID-19 was in full effect, and unrest was taking place all over the world, but Karen was able to find peace in the midst of it all. God became her peace in the midst of life storms. In March 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, she knew she needed to streamline her topics for RTWI prayer call because of the trauma, unrest, and the continued outbreaks of coronavirus, that so many were experiencing. The prayer line has reached over 50 ministries, in 5 countries, including the United States. Many men, women and children experience weekly scriptures and prayers that will provide them with encouragement and peace through this journey called life. It is her hope that you will find peace and tranquility throughout your personal life pandemics and pandemonium and remember that there is peace in the midst of storm. That peace is God. Please contact Chaplain Karen for information and times for the prayer call. Many Blessings and Peace Be Upon You, Chaplain Karen
Due to past relationships, some of us have trust issues, which have caused us to be insecure, suspicious and territorial. Some of us have rejection issues that have not been dealt with. Some of us have not learned how to love and appreciate ourselves. Wow, check this out if you are constantly on social media, dating sites and asking people to hook you up, etc. you are not ready. Those are signs of desperation and fear. For once can we take a good look at the woman in the mirror and be honest with ourselves? Are we really ready for true love or are we still in need of deliverance and healing?

An important lesson I’ve learned along my journey is that The Creator won’t necessarily give you the people you want to be in your life, but will make it possible for you to meet the people you ‘need’ to meet. The people who love you, the people who hurt you, the people who help you, the people who walk away from you. All of them up inside your life interfering for the good and for the bad. Those who’ve played an integral part in making me the woman I am in this life you’ll recognize in this book, “Where’s Zebulon, A Book of Poetry and Short Stories.”
