FROM THE EDITOR
TELL IT BOSS ACTIVATE YOUR VOICE Is this issue we will be hearing from the ladies of the Telling Our Stories: Surviving and Thriving.
It has been said that you have to 'find your voice.' I know that my voice is not lost. I ascribe to the thought and idea that your voice just needs to be activated and not found. Each of us has a voice even if it is in writing, audible, musically expressed or even through sign language. But communication is still taking place and the world stands on edge where that voice is soft or loud. We hear it. We think about it. The voice has power even if no audible words are spoken. So what do you want to say? Let no one stop you from telling your story, teaching what you know, expressing how you or activating your gifted voice to inspire a nation. Get ready set, activate! I am pleased to introduce the ladies of the "Telling Our Stories: Surviving and Thriving" compilation book project. Their story is powerful, inspiring and motivating to be shared for all of those that have experienced loss, the overwhelming grief but the life that comes after the grieving process so that you can somehow survive and thrive! Mark your calendar for March 4-6, 2022 for the Book Business Boss Writers and Business Retreat. More details to come...

Healthy Habits for Women
Rosalind Jones Jacksonville's Best Caregivers www.jacksonvillesbestcaregivers.com info@jacksonvillesbestcaregivers.com
Developing habits is a part of life and something everyone does, but you really should be focusing on the healthy habits. These are things you do on a daily basis that are good for both your physical and mental health. Take a look at these healthy habits that are great for women. Get More Exercise If you don’t have a regular fitness routine, now is the perfect time to start. Exercise is wonderful for anyone, male or female, but it has some unique advantages for women. Exercising can help you lose weight and manage your weight, fight diseases like heart disease and diabetes, and prevent conditions like arthritis and osteoporosis as you age. It is also great during any phase of your life, whether you are a teenager, in your childbearing years, or even as a senior adult. This is a great healthy habit to start developing now.

Focus on Your Nutrition In addition to exercise, you should also develop a habit of eating better. Don’t try to find some fad diet just to lose weight, but choose a new way of eating that becomes a part of your lifestyle. Think of longevity and choose foods that are good for you, provide adequate nutrition, and are foods you can eat and cook easily. If your favorite food is bread, then low-carb is probably not for you. On the other hand, if you are a protein girl, you might do great on Keto or Paleo. Pick and choose based on what provides the most nutrition, but also what is manageable for your current lifestyle. Neglect Your Mental Health Now is also the perfect time to start developing habits that are good for your mental health as well. Far too many people, women especially, neglect their mental health. Your mental health can also have an impact on your physical wellbeing, so it is very important. Some things that can help your mental health include getting regular exercise and eating write, writing in a journal, de-stressing, when you can, and taking some time for yourself for a little self-care. Spend Time With Loved Ones It is really easy to become a hermit and just work and sleep, but it is important for your health and wellbeing that you make a habit of visiting others. Make plans with friends, spend time with family, and reach out to people you don’t spend a lot of time with, such as coworkers or neighbors.

Virtual Book Fairs WWW.BKROYSTONBOOKFAIRSTORE.COM As a School Librarian, I know first hand how important it is to subsidize the ever decreasing library budgets. Secondly, with the limited in-person access, having a way to generate income for a library in a safe environment is more important BK Royston Publishing is pleased to announce the launch of the Virtual Royston Book Fairs. Why? To support libraries by providing quality children's books to represent children of all nationalities as well as offer an additional fundraising opportunity. We can host Virtual Book Fairs and the administrators, parents and the community can purchase books and have a percentage of the proceeds go directly to the school. For more information, email us at bkroystonpublishing@gmail.com, call 502-802-5385 or http://www.bkroystonpublishing.com/bookfairs for more information.

There are some experiences that you will never ever forget. The experience of co-writing this book with these ladies was something that I wish upon authors everwhere. There is something about real sisterhood that is special. I believe that is the reason why the enemy and people seek to divide us. Because if we ever work, love, support and stick together, we can literally turn the world upside down.
Below enjoy an excerpt from their passage of the book and watch an interview at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuOKNma5IDY and be sure to support their founded or adopted non-profit organizations.
Karen Dickson-Brown "It’s never easy thinking about grief, feeling it, and most of all ever talking about it, especially when the reality of it all sinks in a little further day after day. My daily journey begins with reminding myself to breathe just one breath at a time, and more so when I remember my yesterdays. Having lost a mother and brother long ago, I surely thought the pain of such losses was over during my lifetime. “How could I fathom or ever endure another?” I thought this more times than less each day." Cassandra Lanier "Though I still have my moments and days of sadness, I keep my eyes, ears, and heart open to receive the comfort and strength that God may send my way to help me move forward. It could come in many ways, a memory, song, TV show, loved one, or even a stranger. If you’re open to receive it, you will know when God is at work in your favor. Elgina Bullock-Smith "I must be honest: at times I just felt like giving up and telling my destructive reality to just get out its wrecking ball and finish me off. Haul me away forever. Each time I felt that way, I would get this warming feeling that produced a liquid that kept falling from my eye-ducts." Marquisse Watson "Not a day has gone by since our daughter Alana passed away that she hasn’t been on my mind. When you lose someone you love, it feels like your world stands still, while the world around you is still moving. Part of the grief process is learning to live and continue on despite your pain. Continuing doesn’t mean that you have forgotten your loved one, but that there is still life to be lived even without them. But the question is how? How do you continue on?" Julia A. Royston "I have always loved a good story. I have read so many books that I believe that it is the reason why I became a librarian, author, publisher and now coaching others to write their books. If I had to pick my favorites, it is the books with a happy ending. You know, 'and they lived happily...' That is not always the case in the books or definitely in real life. Sometimes the couple doesn't stay or get together in the end. Sometimes the actual best friend is the villain or criminal actually trying to destroy everything that the best friend has worked for and achieved. We don't get to pick the endings but have to trust God no matter the situation." Purchase books at www.juliaroystonstore.com Support the Non-Profit at www.bkroystonfoundation.org

@juliaaroyston What does Live Your Best Life really mean? To me, it means being the best me that I can be for me and not anyone else. It means living in my truth and not the truth of someone else. It means living the life that I was meant to live and being okay with it deep down inside myself and not based on what others think, believe or approve. It means a lot to me. It’s not always fun and sometimes it’s downright scary but it’s me and I’m okay with it. Why? I only have one life to live on this earth and this is it. You ready? Let’s go!
