Welcome to Your Construction Update Newsletter!

Field Manager

My name is Mark Nanninga and I am the project manager for your interior renovation. We are excited to introduce “On Location,� a monthly newsletter to keep you informed and up-to-date on the project. We will also use this newsletter to highlight team members, share tips for working safely on a construction site, and provide a look into the work ahead. We hope this newsletter keeps everyone engaged in the project, even if you are not able to see our work in person.

We started the 13,800-SF interior renovation project on November 21, 2016. The project includes complete demolition and renovation of the existing donation center. Crews have made good progress and are currently completing underground plumbing, interior concrete work, and metal stud framing.

There is a lot to look forward to! Over the next six weeks, the metal stud framing will continue in the interior, the exterior new water main design drawings will be started and completed, and the new fire protection water main will be installed. The structural steel supports for the HVAC equipment will be also be in process. The mechanical, electrical, and plumbing will continuously be compelted following the project schedule.

A term you might hear on our site but may not be familiar with is PPE, which stands for Personal Protective Equipment.

Examples of PPE include items such as gloves, high visibility clothing, foot and eye protection, protective hearing devices, and hard hats. Some of these items, like hard hats and eye protection, are required 100% of the time on-site, while others, like gloves, are required only when performing certain tasks.
