Executive Summary

managed over $37 million worth of Grifolfs projects over the past 4 years.

I can’t believe it has been 4 months since we started this project! The time has truly flown by. This project is shaping up very nicely as we get towards the end. Over the past few weeks we have had a number of activities reach completion. The first was the drywall finishing and painting, followed closely by the acoustical ceiling grid and all of the lighting. At the same time, our HVAC partner completed all of his duct runs and dropped in his diffusers. After finishing the ceiling; Hilario Luevano with H&M Construction installed all of the cabinets and countertops as well as the rigid wall protection. We were also able to complete the epoxy floors. As we come enter this final stretch, every thing is looking good. The HVAC and Plumbers with Gunther’s are setting fixtures and getting all the finishes set. Our Electrical and Low Voltage contractors are also installing devices and configuring the lighting and security systems. Our next tasks will be the Forbo flooring, glass, door frames and door installation.

Thank you to all of the fantastic trades and your continued efforts on this great project!

TRADE CONTRACTOR

SPOTLIGHT CFI Contracting and H&M Luevano Construction I have selected CFI Contracting out of San Diego & Luevano Construction out of Texas. Nathan’s guys drove from San Diego to start working the second shift so not interrupt our normal daily routines as his guys worked on moisture mitigation and floor leveling of the existing site. The floors came out fantastic and the flooring company coming in will have minor prep prior to their installation of the new floor. Hilario came up to the site with a total of two guys and got the cabinets and majority of wall protection in within a two week time frame. They outperformed the last trade contractor who had three times the guys and were onsite six weeks. I want to thank each of you for your hard work and observance of safety.

Everyday an estimated 1,000 eye injuries occur in U.S. workplaces. The financial cost of these injuries is enormous – more than $300 million per year in lost production time, medical expenses and worker’s compensation. No dollar figure can adequately reflect the personal toll these accidents take on the injured workers. Because of the high frequency of eye injuries on construction sites, Elzinga & Volkers requires all tradespeople and visitors to wear OSHA approved safety glasses while on-site.
