Progress on the Memory Care addition
Monthly Funny
PM Summary Combing phases to move full speed ahead! It's tough to see the progress on the Memory Care addition over the past month unless you have an opportunity to visit the site and walk through the project. The building is mostly “dried in so all the rain I talked about last month can no longer slow us down on the majority of the work. We now have the roof underlayment installed, as well as the windows. The areas that were unframed a month ago are now filling in. Inside the building, the HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical tradespeople have been hard at work installing ductwork, piping, and wires that will serve the addition with water, hot and cold air, and electricity. On the exterior, you can see that the majority of the windows and brick have been installed and the siding has started.
"Bill, can you believe how hot it is today?"
The Health Care Center renovation is moving along at a steady pace. Over past month we combined phases 7 and 8, which will keep the overall project end date on track and make up for some of the challenges we faced during earlier phases. Best regards,

Construction workers really feel the heat during the hot, humid months of summer. Here are a few tips to help avoid dehydration and beat the heat: » Hydrate. Drink cool water frequently, even if you’re not thirsty. » Exercise. Stay in good physical condition. Extra weight means more work, sweat and risk. » Eat right. Eat light meals during the hottest hours and avoid highfat greasy foods, which will bring on fatigue. » Avoid air conditioning. Try not to go in and out of air conditioning since it will make it more difficult for you to adjust to the heat. » Watch for Heat Exhaustion/Heat Stroke. Symptoms include dizziness, headache, sweaty skin, weakness, cramps, nausea or vomiting and rapid heart beat. Heat stroke symptoms also include hot, dry skin, mental confusion, convulsions and loss of consciousness. If anyone shows these signs, call 911 right away.
