PROJECT MANAGEMENT UPDATE
Matt Wintjes Assistant Project Manager
Over the course of this past month, the construction team continues to keep checking off milestones. All of the trade contractors worked together to wrap up the final details, including flooring installation, final painting, caulking and setting of casework and countertops. All of the local MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) final inspections have been completed in preparation for the final state inspections. The site work continues to progress as the last portion of the asphalt paving has been completed. The next two resident wings present similar layouts to that of which was just completed, so Dan Faulkner and Dan Koscielski have spent this month coordinating with the trade contractors to take advantage of any lessons learned. As this phase comes to a close, furniture is the last of the items to be installed until the residents are ready to move into their new wing at the end of the month. Fun Fact: We are up to almost 105,500 man hours completed onsite, spread across the three construction projects: Benson Office Building, The McMullen Wellness Center and Kresge Addition and Renovations!
