BUILDING BOVEN Holland Hospital - Boven Birth Center Renovation - Construction Update Newsletter
PHASE 1 FINAL
PROJECT MANAGEMENT UPDATE We just completed Phase 1 of this renovation! The unit went live on Monday, October 29. A month ago we still had a lot of work do to and it may have been stressful for a few team members. However, all of the flooring, bathroom fixtures, ceilings, doors, casework, nurse call, fire sprinkling, HVAC, lighting, etc. are in and ready for use. The bypass corridor was built and looks like a permanent corridor with matching finishes. The hospital staff had an open house event on October 26th and seemed pretty excited to show off their new space. We would like to thank everyone who helped make this phase of the project a success. On to Phase 2! Julie Cole, Assistant Project Manager JulieC@elzinga-volkers.com
FUN FACT Happy Halloween! Did you know that the first Jack-o’lanterns were actually made from turnips? Jack-o’-lanterns are a yearly Halloween tradition that came to America from Irish immigrants. Halloween is the second highest grossing commercial holiday in the U.S., after Christmas. According to the National Retail Federation, Americans will drop about $9B on the festivities this year!
