Project Update As the weeks pass, the project continues to move forward. Since our last update, the exterior skin of the building has started to take shape. Bouma Corporation has installed all of the metal studs on the north and west elevations and put the DensGlass sheathing in place. Now when you drive by the site, the building will shine a bright green. The next element is setting the Tyveck weather barrier and water shield on the east elevation. This opens up work for TL Masonry. TL has installed 45% of the east wall brick veneer, which you can see in the following photos. While the exterior is in the visible final phases, the interior is still in the rough stages of construction. With Godwin and Allied on board, we have completed the underground plumbing and electrical portion of the project. Godwin installed under-slab storm and sanitary lines two weeks ago and completed the entire garden level. Allied followed behind to install the below-slab conduits. High Point joined the under-slab fun by installing the transformer and generator conduits in their final locations. While the progression of the exterior and interior is exciting to see, we still have a long way to go. All of the crews on-site have put forth a great effort but, at this stage, we need to build momentum. Dustin Kuzee, Project Manager dkuzee@elzinga-volkers.com

Project Forecast For the next two weeks, we will focus on completing all the interior under-slab work. Godwin completed the garden level and is 80% done with the first floor; Allied is 65% complete with the underground work. Both Godwin and Allied should finish up early next week, allowing Kent back on-site to finish the slabs. With the slabs complete, the installation of the above-ceiling conduits and plumbing lines can begin. The main focus will be the installation of the storm lines in order to keep much of the rain water off the floors below. While MEP Systems ramp up the interior, we will proceed to install the building skin. TL Masonry will complete the first half of the east elevation by the middle of next week and will start on the remaining half. Bouma Corporation will wrap up the south elevation in the next couple weeks and will focus on installing the canopy framing. This was a major undertaking in Holland, and the ICC Beltline will be the same. Once the canopy is framed and sheathed AMI will scan it and turn the 3D image into working fabrication drawings for the composite metal panels.
