Building Together Canterbury on the Lake - Facility Addition & Renovations

Meet Your Team!

Brad Frey Senior Project Manager

Memory Care Building Pad

PM Summary Welcome to Your Construction Update Newsletter! Nick Novakoski, Assistant Project Manager

We are excited to introduce “Building Together,” a monthly newsletter to keep you informed and upto-date on the Canterbury on the Lake construction progression. This newsletter will highlight team members, share tips for working safely on a construction site, provide a look ahead and progress pictures. We hope this newsletter keeps everyone engaged in the project, even if you are not able to see our work in person. The Memory Care addition and the Health Center renovations are now underway, but had a slow start. Due to start delays, mobilization has been a challenge for some of our contractors. It’s a busy year for everyone! Kevin, one of our Field Managers, has been able to successfully resolve all issues to keep the projects moving forward. Let’s hope for a mild winter to ensure project progress! Best regards,

Kevin Frye Field Manager

Cold Weather Protection

Prolonged exposure to freezing or cold temperatures may cause serious health problems such as trench foot, frostbite, and hypothermia. In extreme cases, including cold water immersion, exposure can lead to death. Danger signs include uncontrolled shivering, slurred speech, clumsy movements, fatigue, and confused behavior. If these signs are observed, call for emergency help. Hang in there – the cold weather will end soon!

Health Care Renovation Looking Ahead

After initial budget concerns, C&R Plumbing & Heating was able to come in and meet the needs and requirements of the Canterbury on the Lake project. They are a diverse local trade partner from nearby Shelby Charter Township and have experience in all industries, including healthcare. C&R, as well as the rest of our partners, will play an extremely important role in the completion of this project and we are happy to have them aboard!
