Clark at Franklin | Renovation Project

Franklin Street Entrance New Windows

The dog days of August have certainly come quickly, haven’t they? It never seems to fail that the summer comes and goes with the blink of an eye, but as we near the end of summer the project has also seemed to progress in the blink of an eye. Over the past month the exterior work has continued nicely and the new staircase at the Sherman Street entrance has started to take its final shape with its new stone veneer. To the south, at the Franklin Street entrance, the new windows have been installed and the final trim work will wrap up this month. Last, but certainly not least, the the new balconies have all been installed with the exception of one remaining balcony on the Sherman street side. This balcony is set to be installed later this month. Inside the building, on 2nd floor East, we have hit a major milestone, the first 9 apartments have been completed and residents are scheduled to start moving in on August 12th! There was a big push to complete this area by the end of July and I am happy to report that all of the crews came together to make it happen. Kudos to the team! On 2nd floor West, drywall has been completed and the carpentry crews followed behind completing the installation of the new cabinets and trim work. The momentum is continuing as the rest of the trades have also reached the final stages of this phase. On 3rd floor West, completion of the drywall was another big milestone reached for the construction team as it allows us to focus on the final finishes. Over the next month, each day will bring visible progress. Stay tuned for next month’s update! See you all next month! Nick Novakoski, Project Manager
