PROJECT MANAGER
Greetings All,
Welcome all to the April edition of Inside Scoop. The month of March has certainly been an interesting one to say the least. On-site, progress continues to move along nicely. The concrete crews continued their work on the footings and walls while the sitework crews continue to shape the site. The most notable change onsite is the completion of the first stair tower for Building One. The masonry contractor, Integrated Exteriors, made extremely quick work of the first stair tower. From top to bottom the overall height of the tower reaches 53 feet! With the first tower complete we are now able to see how tall these buildings will be, and that is exciting for us! While we have seen our share of great progress over the last month, I did say March was an interesting one. On Monday, March 23rd, Governor Whitmer issued the Executive Order which put a halt on construction temporarily in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic. While the extent of this shutdown is still unknown at this time, we have been working diligently to make sure that when we start construction back up we have all hands on deck and a plan in place to make sure we hit the ground running. Looking forward to next month there are many unknowns at this time, however we at EV Construction are dedicated to this project and the Clark organization. As time moves forward, this too shall pass and we can begin construction once again! Stay safe, Nick Novakoski, Project Manager NickN@ev.construction
TRADE CONTRACTOR
SPOTLIGHT This month’s Trade Contractor spotlight goes to Integrated Exteriors. They have begun constructing the masonry stair and elevator towers onsite. Due to the large scope of this project, they have brought in a powered Hydro-Mobile scaffold. This system helps increase safety and productivity over the typical standard scaffold system. A big thank you to the entire Integrated team for their commitment to quality and safety!
