Clark at Keller Lake | Renovation Project
Site Excavation and Grading
Welcome to the first edition of Inside Scoop for the Clark at Keller Lake Independent Living Project. This is a very exciting time for all of us as the many years of planning are now coming to fruition. Over the next 20 months, the wooded lot nestled next to Keller Lake will transform into a state-of-theart independent living facility. The project consists of three buildings in total that will make way for 52 independent living apartments, a restaurant/bistro, multipurpose rooms, underground parking and so much more! Every month we will publish a newsletter that will give you all an “Inside Scoop” as to what has happened on the project over the last month and what to look for over the upcoming month. Without further ado, here is your first update. Over the past two months, the project site has undergone some pretty dramatic changes already. In December, Integrity Tree Service mobilized and began to work on clearing the trees. While the site looks big to all of us, this was a relatively small job for Integrity and they were able to clear the site in just four weeks! After the site was cleared, Connan Inc., our excavating contractor joined us on site and began to move dirt. Through January, Connan began to shape the site by hauling off thousands and thousands of yards of topsoil; and then, as the site started to take shape, they began to install some of the underground storm water infrastructure that will provide drainage for the entire site. As we look forward to next month, the job site will continue to take shape and the buildings will begin to emerge as we start the concrete foundations!
TRADE CONTRACTOR
SPOTLIGHT CONNAN, INC. This month’s trade contractor spotlight goes to Connan due to their high level of professionalism and commitment to safety every day. The site is very active as they have large fleet of equipment in use every day, yet they have had zero safety infractions or concerns to date. They have also done a great job with soil erosion controls on a difficult site, and have improved on our scheduled durations. Thank you to Paul, Josh and the rest of their team!
