Phase 2, framing complete

PM Summary

Project Completion is Within Sight This project is really turning out great. Everyone, from the staff to our trade partners, have worked extremely well together and the communication is amazing. We have continued to gain days on the overall schedule and will be complete in plenty of time for the upcoming Audit. We are finishing up the final phase over the next few weeks. We have completed framing and drywall and have moved onto the ceiling and other finishes. This project will be 100% complete in about a month! Brad Giha, Project Manager bradg@elzinga-volkers.com

The Look Ahead

Over the next few weeks will be doing a number of tasks. We will be finishing up the ceiling work and all electrical and Mechanical work. Soon we will be setting cabinets and wall coverings. Once the cabinets are set we can start installing the flooring and electrical finishes. Lastly we will be doing a final clean and helping with the staff’s transition into their new area.

Extensions cords are used everywhere on construction sites. Normal wear and tear on cords can loosen or expose wires. Cords that are not 3-wire type, were not designed for hard use, or have been modified, increase the risk of contacting an electrical current. Below are some guidelines that Elzinga & Volkers uses to regulate the use of extension cords: » Use only equipment that meets OSHA standards » Do not modify or use cords incorrectly » Use factory-assembled cords and only use the 3-wire type

» Remove cords from receptacles by pulling on the plugs, not the cord.
