THE BLUEPRINT BULLETIN St. Mary’s Education Center Construction Newsletter

Groundbreaking - 3/18/16

Executive Summary

I’d like to introduce our project newsletter, the Blueprint Bulletin. Each month we will share a general update on the project, introduce our trade partners, share a few photos and give you some facts from the construction world. For our first issue, we are happy to report that our project is off to a great start with foundations in place and block walls going up quickly. Our cool spring has made for excellent working conditions and everyone onsite has done an excellent job keeping us on schedule. Our challenge in the weeks ahead will be to get our custom door frames manufactured and delivered fast enough that our masons can continue to build our interior walls. Stay tuned for more updates as we move forward with this exciting project and thank you for entrusting Elzinga & Volkers with the construction of what will be such an important part of your children’s future.

Meet the E&V Team

From the Parish Dear Friends, After many years of planning and fundraising, our new Catholic Education Center, which will house our school and faith formation programs, is finally becoming a reality! It is so exciting to see the walls taking shape and to envision all of the great things that we will be able to do with this new space. The enthusiasm of the students, staff and parishioners is palpable, and I really enjoy talking to people about this project.

There are many people and businesses who have come together to bring us to this point and we will need the continued support and cooperation of many more in the months ahead. I am grateful to God and to the people of St. Mary’s Parish for the tremendous generosity that been shown up to this point. I pray that together, with our many different contractors, we will create a facility that is second-to-none in order to teach our young people and help them to grow in their faith.
