Project Update
Kicking Off A New Location!
Greetings! Now that phase one is complete, center staff are moving into their beautiful new space, allowing us to begin the interior demolition of the existing building. Interior renovations will happen in two phases; first we will renovate and finish the donor floor. Secondly, we will prepare the center for increased donor capacity. Outside of the building, we will remove and replace all of the exterior finishes including a new roof system. We look forward to this next phase and continued improvements to this busy center! SPOTLIGHT
This company is avaliable at a moments notice. Helping us to troubleshoot the best way to supply gas to both old and new sections of the building, HVAC issues and finishing the new addition under a time crunch. And they did all of it with several other trade contractors in the same small space, while maintaining a great attitude and professionalism.
SAFETY FIRST
Watch Your Step!
With all the dangerous equipment, sharp materials and precarious heights that can be found on a construction site, you may not be surprised to know that simple trips and falls are one of the most common accidents on a jobsite. Small holes and uneven surfaces are unavoidable during the construction of a building, but proper precautions can help minimize their danger. All holes on a project site that are over 4 in diameter most be covered and marked with bold writing. Uneven surfaces can be temporarily leveled or traffic can be directed around them. Most importantly, daily clean up and housekeeping will keep the jobsite free of debris and loose materials. All of these seemingly minor precautions can help to avoid serious injury on the project site.
