Metra's calendar of EVENTS, that lets you know where all the HOT spots are!

By Auntie M4Doro@ aol.com

We have two huge events happening in Metraland this month, the first is the 36 Annual Northalsted MARKET DAYS in Chicago, on Saturday, August 12th and Sunday, August 13th. The Midwest’s largest street festival takes over Boystown. Market Days in Chicago brings together an exciting mix and music, hundreds of vendors, arts, food and drinks to create one unforgettable experience. Located on North Halsted Street between Belmont and Addison, this festival spans 6 full blocks, and 5 stages with over 40 performers will keep the music pumping all weekend. Crowds from across the globe come to the heart of Chicago’s LGBTQ neighborhood to celebrate life, love, friends and summer. A $10 donation helps keep the neighborhood safe, beautiful and most of all fun. The second big event is the 23rd Annual “WOODWARD DREAM CRUISE” is August 19th, 2017 and the FORD MOTOR CO. was named as the presenting sponsor of this year event, and promises that this year’s “MUSTANG ALLEY” event will be the largest ever. The cars start running all week long gearing up for the cruise. The streets, cafés, bars, and restaurants will be jammed with viewers on Saturday, August 19th from 9:00AM until 9:00PM.
