They’re taking time to see where to party for those pleasant days and nights that August always bring. The Woodward Dream Cruise festivities begin on Monday, August 13th and runs until Saturday August 18th which is “The Woodward Dream Cruise” the main event. Millions of visitor’s line-up the 16 mile course to view thousands of muscle cars, hot rods, and various custom and collectible vehicles. Traffic to and from this event is horrible, so get there early, camp-out all night to get the best spots. Coming up in September 21st -23rd it’s “Mr. Michigan Leather Weekend XXIII” at Dunes Resort with Mr. Michigan Leather 2018: Tim Koski in attendance. So let’s see what’s happening in and around Metraland! …MICHIGAN Ann Arbor: NECTO (734-994-5436), presents Pride Friday, August 3rd “CUPCAKE” for Ann Arbor Pride Pre-Party. On Friday, August 17th Necto presents “MIZ CRACKER” 1st. show at 9:45 with an Encore Midnight for both events and the doors open 9pm with 18+ welcome. Those 18-20 is $10 and $5 for 21+ for both events, always a packed house on Pride Fridays. Detroit: ADAMS APPLE (313-240-8482), has “Erik’s Birthday Benefit Party” on Saturday, August 4th with all proceeds to go AIDSWalk. There will be $3.00 signature drinks, and $1 shots. And will run from 8pm until close, with raffles until 11pm and six chances to win! And you must be present to win. Also they’ll have Free Food and no cover with guest bartender Erik. BODY ZONE (313-366-9663), has their dates scheduled and ready to have some fun. On Friday, August 10th it’s their infamous “BLACK-OUT Party”, what happens in the dark stays in the dark. BRIGGS - DETROIT (313-656-4820), has every Mondays: “Scooby Brew” and Secret Movie Night, a fan favorite returning to the roof deck and they’ve made it better with $2 booze! And just added, Bea the Pug will be on the deck signing autographs for her fans. Also proceeds from select beers and cocktails will benefit Silver Muzzle Cottage and with a matching donation from Briggs-Detroit. Drink a beer, save a dog!

The Olympus Theater presents Live Summer Music Series on Saturday, August 11th featuring “EYE CANDY & LOKELLA” performing. Then Saturday, August 18th Menjo’s presents “Summer Luau” with fruity tropical blended cocktails, FREE grass skirts and coconut bras. Also a delicious Hawaiian BBQ with Hula Dancing. The Eagle presents “WAR of the ROSES” Weekend of August 24, 25, and 26th hosted by HungerFF and Kenn Kennedy. On Friday, August 24th at 9pm it’s a WRW - “RED HANKIE” Meat & Greet night. On Saturday, August 25th from 68:30pm it’s the WRW - GEAR SWAP; and at 9pm WRW - RED PARTY with a DJ. Then Sunday, August 26th at 1pm – WRW presents the “ROSE BOWL CHILI COOK OFF”. Coming in September Michigan’s Biggest Leather Event celebrates “LEATHER EXPO X” on September 14, 15 & 165th 2018 at Menjo’s Complex! Douglas: DUNES RESORT (269-857-1401), has the biggest event of the summer coming up, the Annual “LABOR DAY WEEKEND” from August 30th thru September 3rd with DJ Dan Slater, DJ Alex Acosta, and DJ Doug be sure to make your reservations NOW because this event books up very quickly some room, and cabins are reserved from year to year. My suggestion is to call NOW and book a room or cabin if any are available. Stockbridge: CREEK RIDGE CAMPGROUND (517565-3800), on August 3rd thru 5th it is a Pirate Weekend (Rrrrr!) with buccaneers, and swashbucklers roaming the park. The weekend of August 10th -12th: they’ll be “SplishSplash Party” in the pool area.
