SITE ANALYSIS
BROWNHILL CREEK : Browenhill creek is located in the south east of Adelaide. 7 kms away from the Adelaide CBD. The main area that the design takes place in is 15 minutes walk from the entrance. The site is an open field towards the eastern side.
01
Brownhill creek was once a favourite camping for the Aboriginal people (Kaurna). They used to call it Wirraparinga (scrub and camping place). The Kaurna used to hunt and gather in the place. As many as 150 people inhabited the area at one time. The first European to settle in the area was Pastor William Finlayson who arrived in 1837. The Kaurna are the original people of Adelaide and the Adelaide Plains.

NATURAL INSPIRATION
BELLFLOWER : Bellflower is one of the most interesting flowers in terms of geometry. Bellflower has given us the way to explore the natural design nature structure to be 100% inspired by its uniqueness. The way its petals spread from the top view made us create the steel framing and how they connect vertically to its counterpoint. Bellflower is the inspiration behind the design and what brought the beauty in the design itself.

The structural frames of the building have been designed with material efficiency in mind. The hexagonal design employed in each building uses less timber despite providing efficient support for the building loads and framing for the windows and facades.
The hexagonal floor plan optimises the internal layout of the rooms. The increased number of walls mean that the arrangement of furniture and appliances inside the building is less restricted whilst also allowing for a more comprehensive view of the environment through increased windows.
Whilst also directing the structural loads of the building into the foundation, the angled frames of the supporting structure also efficiently guide the electrical and water supply system to the foot of the building.

CABIN AND LAMP :
One of the things that makes the community of the BELLFLOWER TREEHOUSE is the way everything desgined. From the stage that brings everyone together to the lamp that inspired by the actual design of the tree house. Also, two cabin has been placed on top of the stage to give shelter under the rain and let the people who live in the area continue their activites. The way we have designed it is by having one of the elements that makes the community and flip it to create a nice looking cabin.
