Geography. The site, located on the Eastern boundary of Stirling, is a 28 acre field of undulating grassland nestled between Princess Highway and the suburb’s outer township. Given its location in the Adelaide Hills and thus its altitude, the area averages 19.4°C in it’s warmest months and 8.2°C in its coolest. The topography and thick vegetation on and around the site allows for privacy while also maintaining a view of Mt George to the East.

Located 30 minutes from Adela ide CBD offers many advantages relating to what services are available nearby. Communal gardens off er opportunities for communal service, as do the many churches within a five min ute drive. Partnerships with local agric ultural establishments would allow for skill-building and further wo rking opportunities post rehab ilit ation, which we believe would build local industry. Additionally, Stirling sits between many hiking attractions includ ing Mt Lofty and Mt George. Giv en the correct supervision we believe this off ers a unique chance for reside nts to engage in fitness off-site to further per sonal health. On the contrary in the event of an injury, illness, or self-har m risk, Stirling Hospital is wit hin the immediate vicinity.

Furthermore, trees and shrubs will be increas detera as to restrict noise and light pollution from the highway, while also serving rent for potentially at-risk residents. However, we will maintain an open site to encourage trust and avoid feeling closed in.
