CMT Water Quality Update Harvesting Operations are underway. The Harvesting team, consisting of one Harvester and one skimming team, started in the East Marina during the end of July and the beginning of August. Harvesting Operations run from 8:30 to 3:30. As in typical years past, the TKPOA AIS Team has taken monthly water samples due to requirements for an existing LFA permit. The UV-C contractor has completed the first round of treatment on all the “UV-C Only” sites - Sites 22, 23 and 24. As the turbidity curtains will remain installed until late August, the UV-C contractor and the TKPOA WQ team are working together to find a solution on getting the UV-C boat to enter the Restricted Area A. Once it enters the area, the boat will treat the “combo” sites (UV-C and herbicide) to complete the total UV-C treatment of the CMT Project.
