Just like every successful business, sports teams need a strong leader in order to succeed. The leader brings the entire team together and helps them get through the tough times during the season. Building a tight relationship with the entire roster makes everyone play a little harder. This ultimately brings more wins and possibly a few championships. These are the four best leaders in sports history. Tom Brady The NFL’s most successful player is also its best leader. Tom Brady has a knack for getting the most out of his players. While his team in Tampa Bay is absolutely loaded, Brady won six Super Bowls in New England without any superstars on the offense. Brady’s leadership skills, knowledge of the game, and competitive drive forced everyone on the team to step up their play. Derek Jeter https://justinpacholka.net/the-best-leaders-in-sports-history/

The long MLB season makes it impossible to win without a strong leader in the locker room. Even the best teams are going to go through rough stretches where they struggle to win. The ability to bounce back is always the sign of a great team. Nobody helps their teammates through tough times better than Derek Jeter. His commitment to winning helped lead the Yankees to five World Series titles. Steve Yzerman The Red Wings organization was in shambles before drafting Steve Yzerman in 1983. Detroit quickly made their young center the captain of an inexperienced team. The unusual move instantly paid off. The Red Wings became serious title contenders shortly after drafting Yzerman. The team eventually won four Stanley Cup titles under the leadership of their captain. Yzerman is now leading the Red Wings as the team’s general manager and executive vice president. Tim Duncan Most sports leaders are often viewed as very vocal players, but that is not the only way to be successful. A leader can be just as successful by commanding respect from his teammates and leading by example. There was no one better at this rare form of leadership than Tim Duncan. His calm demeanor brought out the best in his teammates and helped the San Antonio Spurs win five NBA championships.
