PROJECT BRIEF Denim is a very versatile fabric which can be used in different ways. During our denimwear module we have to design 3 products in categories ranging from womenswear, kids-wear, menswear and/or accessories using the understanding of the seams used, washes, how denim is manufactured. Taking inspiration from the denim trends and taking the story forward design the range.

The design integrity and production quality of the brand’s collections have created a loyal network of advocates including Rachel Weisz, Jennifer Lawrence and Julianne Moore. 5
LINEAR MATTERS

Elements of design includes dot, lines, shapes, forms, colour and texture. These elements when applied with principle of design forms the perfect composition. Line is the second fundamental form which comes after point, it is considered as 2 dimensional and with the repetition of various lines in different angles shapes are formed which further gives way to form, so in linear matters lines are taken as the basic source of inspiration. To add to the fun and relaxed Resort look a few of the other elements such as an arc of the circle, the feel of flowers are also incorporated.

Technical tailoring and concept details drive denim silhouettes in a modern direction. Design details go against the “rules� of authentic denim styling / Clean cuts are emphasised by concealed closures or minimalist button placement / Savile Row finishing such as invisible stab stitch and trouser fastenings / Architectural pleating used to control raw fabrics / Precise stitch lines, piping and polished silver studs add definition.

TREND STUDY Over sized fits can be seen in various shades of indigo which are panelled together. Typography, numbers and all gives it a cool look.
