Our passion is to help!
Karisma Foundation A.C. carried out the second edition of the Surgical Lags Campaign for the care of patients requiring surgery for hernias, vesicles and lipomas, with the valuable support of the state health services, under the direction of Dr. Víctor Gómez Saviñón, chief of surgery at the General Hospital of Cancún.
In this edition, 25 internal beneficiaries of the Foundation were evaluated, who, added to the list of surgical laggards of the General Hospital, totaled 50 patients benefiting from this program. 5 general surgeons, 3 anesthesiologists, 7 surgical nurses and 18 general surgery and anesthesia residents participated in the campaign, in addition to the collaboration of the Foundation’s medical team.
We made an investment of approximately $350,000 pesos in supplies, specialist fees and equipment for the operating room area in general. This is a clear example that, thanks to the joint efforts and collaborative work, Karisma Foundation generates a great impact on health in society.
