I started working with polystyrene to come up with ideas for an exterior space in a park and what I came up was a modern and edgy hang out are for young people and teenagers.
I have taken the abstract shapes of the polystyrene cut into different shapes and stacked them up to generate rough ideas of different spaces , I have made this space into a library with two different areas that are shown in different colours. I have shown the layout of library in a simple way .

Entrance
Glass wall library space
After using polystyrene I have chosen to use thin card to try and recreate what I did with polystyrene. But I have decided to do this design as a building or a living space.
This is a small building that I have found that looks like I have imagined my design of looking in the inside and the outside. The building has clean but sharp lines and it is very modern and spacious also very light
After arranging the cardboard shapes I have come up with a space that looks like I could be turned into a set of very elaborate flats or houses. Just like the house I found when I was doing my research. I think that these chunky shapes represent the space that it could become very well and that the angles would add a lot of character to the houses and the are that it would be build in.
The two houses above are also made out of wood or covered in wood to become one with the background and to blend in so that it would only compliment and add to the surroundings and not stand out too much.
All 3 of these structures/ houses have been created to fit and blend into the surroundings and they have wood on the outside or are build out of wood.
This design is off a environment friendly house that could be build in the woods or the country side where it could blend into the background. The roof is green because as a building the insulation on the roof could be turf too keep the warmth in.
This is the interior space I have come up for the house. One of the walls would be just like in the cabin just solid heated glass and the other walls would be wallpaper or wood with the celling with small lights. The interior of the room would be quite simple and minimalist. All the curves would be simple and clean no bright colours all natural.
I have also researched into modern living rooms and have found out that most of them are plain and have clean lines and shapes. That’s when I did my own interpretation of modern lining rom space. I think that the clean simple colours work well against the bright image on the wall.
This is a two piece cabin that can be taken a part and then put together , designed by French architects OLGGA , that will be exhibited at the Fes=val Estuaire 2009 in Nantes, France. The cabin has the smooth interior and exterior finish that only adds to the environment . The wind at the side of the cabin allows plenty of light and warmth to enter into the cabin. The designed of this is simple but effec=ve, my model would work on the same basis as this it would have two separate sides that can be modified and transported.
I have changed my original structure to experiment . I have come up with something to could be a design for a walk way or an underground crossing.
This is a design of a public siJng bench. It was designed in Brooklyn. This design would blend and intergrade into the landscape because of how there is space for the plants to grow inside the structure. My design could be a public underground road crossing that also has space in the structure to grow plants .
This walkway would be made from glass which allows the pedestrians walking inside it to see all around them and also people can see straight through it meaning that it doesn’t over whelm the surroundings and it creates the illusion of more space.
This pedestrian walk way between two building reminds me of my work it is narrow in the middle and then it widens t the ends. This walkways is planned to be build in Canada
This is the further development of my first design(model). This could be some sort of a bridge that has stairs inside of the two structures.
This design is similar to that mine would look like but mine would have the stairs inside the two honey cone like structures . This architect has designed a simple but interes=ng and crea=ve bridge that on one end winds up and in the other end it gradually lowers.
These are sketches of a vacuum cleaner that I later developed I think that these sketches could become some very interesting outdoor spaces in an open area such as a park
I have come out with this idea after drawing different parts of a vacuum cleaner. This could be a shelter in the park that would provide space for young people to hang out with friends. It could also be used to express the teenagers views by letting them graffiti on the walls as this structure would be just for them.
