My original font typeface chosen was Alegraya, and I modified it as shown below;
I changed my mind as I wanted to create a more modern like font for my book, than just extending the ascenders and descenders on a serif font. Another issue was making the arrowlike features that break up the glyphs more visible and obvious without destroying the readability as a whole. I made the arrow points larger and it improved my glyphs look and feel.
