Ride Star

Select poster designs (2017 -ongoing)

Ride Star is a project run for the Ride Operations department cast by two of the Ops Supervisory team. As part of a two person team that looks after this program I assist in the photoshop portion of the project inserting the cast member chosen for the month into their chosen favourite movie. This idea was thought up to keep in line with being at Movie World and is a unique gift to give our best Ops cast and has been taken positively over the years.

The Hero Program Logo and Pin Design (2018)

The approved and current logo and pin for the Hero Program at Movie World Australia’s Ride Operations Department. The brief was to create a new easily identifiable logo for the reboot of the Hero Program. The original design was difficult to read from far away and carried negative emotions from the previous attempt at the program for Cast. I stayed away from the shield design and superhero silhouettes of the original pin. Experimenting with the word ‘Hero’ as well as inspiration coming from the DC Flash logo and The Hunger Games Mockingjay pin. These pins have been well recieved by Cast as well as Park Supervisors and are currently in use.

DC Rivals

Backwards wristband alternative proposal (2019) A proposal for DC Rivals backwards seats to reduce waste and create a reuseable alternative. After noticing the high volume of one off wristbands used for the backwards seats at DC Rivals and talking to a Park Supervisor I created these mockups to show an alternative way to reduce waste and create a high end product that should reduce spendage on one use bands and be similar to the cards used for Arkham Asylum VR. This proposal has been handed in and no feedback has come back as of yet.

That’s all Folks! Greg Yong poster (2019)

I was asked to do a poster on behalf of the Operations manager at Movie World to commemorate Greg Yong as he was resigning from Village Roadshow Theme Parks. This project was tasked to be completed within 24 hours. Due to the time constraints the imagery used was found from the internet but redone for a high resolution to meet an A3 size standard and compiled together.

Skedulo

Shirt design contest (2017) Whilst on an internship I was part of the Graphic Design team. I assisted with creating a T-shirt challenge for the business, which included creating some initial designs, the web page and mockups for the finalists. This challenge was to be engaging to staff, to create and design ideas for possible future designed merchandise for the company. It was a great hit with staff and three designs were chosen for initial shirts, whilst some others were chosen for possible later designs.
