Works are now complete on the renewal of the viewing platform and pedestrian boardwalk along the South Pine River in Stanton Reserve which was severely damaged in the February 2022 storms.

Kumbartcho Sanctuary at Eatons Hill will be celebrating International Fairy Day on Friday 23rd June with a FREE Bushland Fairies event from 10am to 1pm.

Join the team for some fairy fun as they explore the forest whilst looking for all kinds of things with wings. There will be fairy garden making, frog pond building, painting and craft. There will also be music to entertain fairy-goer's by the Little Wattlebird Band, a sausage sizzle and fairy biscuits.

Remeber to wear your best fairy, native animal or dress up creation to receive a fairy wand.

The new walkway

The 1.5m wide fibre composite pedestrian boardwalk is equipped with kickrails and consists of several spans, including a viewing platform and bench seat near the South Pine River. Planning is also underway for the area to be planted out so stay tuned!
