ART & IMAGINATION CAMP for ages 3 1/2 - 5 yrs.

ARTKIDS CAMP grades 1-5, grades 3-5

Our Art & Imagination camps are designed to provide a warm, welcoming environment geared specifically towards the creative spirit of the young child. Each weekly camp is a creative mix of arts and crafts projects, free art play, storytime, outdoor playtime and collaborative art. Our A&I camp sessions begin June 2. We also offer a two (M&F) or three day option (T,W,Th). Campers should dress for a mess and bring a snack each day. We only accept 8 children for each session, so please be sure to register early.

The Katonah Art Center Kids Art Camp is a great alternative to traditional summer-long programs. Our small camp groups enable students to receive individual attention in a warm, family-like atmosphere. All of our Art camps are one-week sessions with half-day, full-day and extended-day options. Ages for camps are grades 1-5, unless otherwise noted in the camp description. Campers should dress for a mess and bring a snack each day as we have snack and a small “recess” outside, with games, crafts, music and lots of running around.

FRIDAY FUNDAY

VOICE / MUSIC

Here’s where students get the chance to ‘stretch their chords!’ Proper vocal technique will be taught to create dynamic sound while learning to sing in a healthy way, learning to support, focus and project the voice. Students will learn great show tunes featuring their strengths - while working on improvement! SCRIPT WRITING

We’re ‘putting it all together’ in this course, as students use their characters and songs to develop a cohesive story and script, which they will then perform for invited guests...with a little creative writing thrown in! BACKSTAGE ARTS

Unlike many performance-only based Summer programs, T3x and T3x Jr. will also give students the opportunty to learn about what goes on BEHIND the scenes. Students will design and construct their own sets, props and costumes and learn stage
