BUT WHAT ISSUES MATTER TO ME?
I am looking forward to this project. I think it will be a fun one. My dream job is to someday do design work for some form of activism organization or campaign. I care a lot about social justice & the future of our government so this project should be fun.

IMPORTANCE OF VOTING This is a cause very near & dear to my heart. Voter registration & one’s right to vote is so important. I have challenged myself to vote in every election I am eligble in for my whole life. I have been successful so far & have a drive to get more people to join me. This is a cause I am vastly passionate about. It is vital that every person has equal opportunity to vote in every election. It has become very common to see people of minority backgrounds being suppressed when it comes
to voting. But not only is it important to encourage voting, but also educated voting is vital as well. So registering, mobilizing, & educating are all equally important parts of the voting process. When We Vote is a non-profit & nonpartisan organization that’s goal is to increase participation in every election. They want to encourage young people to vote by changing the culture around voting. The organization was co-founded my Michelle Obama.
THE RECYCLING MOVEMENT Another movement that is important to me is recycling. Suprisingly, only 9% of plastic is actually recycled. This is a statistic that breaks my heart. We only get one world & humanity is turning it into a wasteland. Recycling also has a history of being a “scam” to make different companies look better than they actully are.

The Kansas Organization of Recyclers is a KOR is a non-profit that focuses on recycling in Kansas. It is filled with representatives from government, industry, and individuals that support environmental stewardship through waste reduction, composting, reuse, recycling, and sustainable efforts in Kansas.
