Multi-Tiered System of Supports for Behavioral Health & Wellness Coach

The Laconia School District is seeking applicants to serve as the Multi-Tiered System of Supports for Behavioral Health and Wellness (MTSS-B) District Coach. MTSS-B is a comprehensive system of social, emotional, and behavioral supports to promote student wellness and improve engagement in learning. MTSS-B uses a public health framework to provide universal social-emotional and behavioral supports to all students (Tier 1), targeted groups and supports to at-risk populations (Tier 2), and more intensive individual services to those with the highest need (Tier 3).

MTSS-B blends research-based school mental health practices and social-emotional learning (SEL) within an evidence-based tiered prevention framework.

This position will attend Universal, Tier II, and Tier III team meetings throughout the district to provide support in collecting and analyzing data, planning, implementation, and sustainability of systems to improve mental health outcomes for students. The MTSS-B coach will provide professional development training on MTSS-B implementation.

Strong knowledge of and/or experience with MTSS, MTSS-B, or PBIS frameworks preferred. Knowledge of school mental health, and/or other tiered prevention frameworks, education, and mental/behavioral health systems desirable. This is a school year contract.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in education or behavioral health field with related professional experience preferred.
