TREND ALERT

ILLYSIA’S PICKS

SELLING TIP FOR WORK: The graphic print should be the focus of the outfit, so pair it with black or navy. Jewelry should be kept minimal to highlight the print and to keep the outfit work appropriate. FOR WEEKEND: To keep a graphic print casual and easy for the weekend, pair it with flat sandals or ballet flats. Pull one color from the print, and choose a bag with that color to keep the outfit fun. FOR DATE NIGHT: Juxtapose the graphic print with something edgy, like a moto jacket or cage heels. Dangly edg earrings will complete the look. FOR ANY OCCASSION: Don't go overboard with too many colors, prints or statement jewelry. The graphic piece should always be the focus of the outfit paired with neutrals and accessories to compliment it.

JEN’S PICKS

SELLING TIP FOR WORK: For Clients who are wary of wearing a single color head-to-toe, pair a white blazer with white tailored trousers and mix in a black blouse and heels to keep it more classic. FOR WEEKEND: Style white denim with a white slouchy slouc knit sweater and add some colorful shoes or printed accessories for an element of fun. FOR DATE NIGHT: For Summer, think "little white dress" instead of your typical LBD and finish with nude heels to elongate the leg line. FOR ANY OCCASSION: To add visual interest, mix textures and/or various shades of white, ivory, cloud, eggshell within the same outfit. Pay attention to silhouette and proportion to keep the outfit flattering.

KATE’S PICKS

SELLING TIP FOR WORK: Full skirts and wide leg pants are dressy by nature, so they are perfect for work. Tuck in a fitted tank, throw on a cropped blazer, and you're ready to go! FOR WEEKEND: Brunch is a great place to wear full skirts and wide leg pants. Since you're not constrained by any dress code, throw in a pop of color or wear a fun print. FOR DATE NIGHT: For that special night out, find a skirt or pair of pants in a luxurious fabric like silk. Or rock one with sequined embellishments! FOR ANY OCCASSION: Full skirts and wide leg pants add volume to your lower half, so the key to looking fabulous in them is wearing a fitted top. Avoid flowy or boxy blouses.

DAZZLING DAY DRESSES STACY’S PICKS

SELLING TIP FOR WORK: I'm a big fan of a peplum or sheath dress in a solid color. I'd pair it with a statement necklace, an amazing pair of pumps and an equally amazing bag. FOR WEEKEND: I love a Maxi dress in a vibrant print with a comfy flat or wedge. Add a cross body bag and a pair of sunnies and you're good to go! FOR DATE NIGHT: You can take pretty much any of your day dresses and switch out shoes and accessories (I have an example of this in my corresponding lookbook). Switch out a flat or wedge for a killer heel, add some bling, lose the big day tote or satchel for a fun clutch. Layer on a lipstick & your signature fragrance and let the night begin! FOR ANY OCCASSION: I'm constantly recommending that my clients consider boosting their wardrobes with some dresses. A dress isn't JUST for evening anymore either. I love all the dazzling day dresses there are this season! From florals, to stripes to solids, mini, midi & maxi there's a dress out there for every occasion and every body type.

ANNIE’S PICKS

FASHION SNEAKERS

HEADWEAR

SELLINGTIP FOR WORK: Instead of an all-over allcasual look on casual Fridays, try pairing a classic suit skirt and buttoned down blouse with chic sneakers and a polished fedora. Also consider the possibilities of packing a personality clutch within your full-sized work bag, to whip out come happy hour for an added dose of fun! FOR WEEKEND: Warm weather weekends are all about quick getaways. Instead of packing flats for daytime and heels for the evening, try wearing sneakers all day, and then making the switch from a day into night dress. If hair gets rumpled during daytime fun, try placing a head piece atop your locks, to camouflage lost volume. FOR DATE NIGHT: Date night is your time to shine! Try pairing anything from a flowing maxi to a perky mini with sneakers for a fresh statement. Bring attention to your communication zone" by wearing a beaded head band, and really express your personality with a punchy clutch! FOR ANY OCCASSION: Sneakers, headwear, and fun clutches have worked their Snea way into the everyday fashion psyche, and choosing which of these trends to rock is all about context. You might not get away with a fedora in a corporate setting, but who's to say you can't rock a personality clutch with a power suit? Headwear at a bridal shower? Go! Sneakers with a cocktail dress, beachside? Yes! All three of these trends are conversation starters, so get ready to inspire other co women with your fashion prowess!

BEHIND THE SCENES

BODY SHAPE TIPS & TRICKS The Bathing Suit

THE BANDEAU

THE UNDERWIRE TOP SWEATHEART TWO-PIECE

BODY SHAPE TIP: If your Client is small on top, try a bandeau or sweatheart top for a little more cleavage. Printed or unique style bottoms are best for women looking to add shape to their body.

BODY SHAPE TIP: If your Client is busty, keep her supported in a full coverage halter top! A ruffled bottom gives the butt a nice boost.

BODY SHAPE TIP: An underwire top is super supportive and gives your Client’s bust a nice shape and lift.

THE HIPSTER BOTTOM THE STRING BIKINI

THE TUMMY CONTROL BODY SHAPE TIP:

A high-waisted boy short bottom is great for Clients who are athletic shaped and is great for masking love handles.

BODY SHAPE TIP: Suprisingly enough, the String bikini is not just for petite women! Adjustable side ties let you tweak the fit and minimize the appearance of hips!

BODY SHAPE TIP: A rouched one piece is the ultimate tummy concealer. Look for styles with color blocked side panels to minimize hips.

CLIENT PROFILE

REQUEST A LOOKBOOK This Month we highlight a common style issue “How to dress for work in the Summer” As the temperature begins to rise, here are some tips on how to appropriately style your 9 to 5 Clients!

BUSINESS FORMAL If you receive a Business Formal Request: Style your Clients in a Sleeveless Dress and lightweight colored Cardigan! Keep her fabrics and colors light and not too tight! A cardigan is a great layering piece (especially when the office cranks up the AC!) Add a waist belt to all of your Clients lookbooks! Belts are the easiest way to define the waist and add some structure to an outfit. For petite or hour glass Clients, belt her cardigan over a fitted dress to emphasize her waist/hips.

BUSINESS CASUAL If you receive a Business Casual Request: We recommend styling a lightweight Shirt Dress. A Shirt Dress is not only a season must-have but a great way to stay comfortable and stylish in the office! Try a white linen or denim/chambray. For a brighter option, play with prints like stripes and florals!

Not interested in heels but bored with basic flats?! Try a Wedge Sandal. This option is great for height but much more comfortable than your typical work pump. Click on the icon to see a Lookbook
