Christa Marrillia | Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer the VisitLEX Tourism Commission and is on the board of directors for LexArts. She is a member and past president of the Bluegrass Hospitality Association and the Downtown Lexington Partnership Advisory Board. Christa and her husband, Josh, have two sons, Lincoln and Winston.
Marc Therrien | Executive Chef and Managing Director of Keeneland Hospitality Marc Therrien, who has more than 30 years of culinary experience from coast to coast, joined Keeneland as Executive Chef and Managing Director of Keeneland Hospitality in May 2019. Prior to joining Keeneland Hospitality in 2016, Chef Marc oversaw food and beverage operations as executive chef at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, and also managed the culinary programs at the resort’s Chopra Center for Wellbeing.
During his tenure, the La Costa received its first Silver Certificate for Green Seal, a sustainability certification for hotels and restaurants. Chef Marc is on the Board of Directors of God’s Pantry Food Bank, which receives excess food from Keeneland’s dining operations during race meets to benefit charitable organizations in Central Kentucky. He is married to Tera Gehrig, and has a daughter, Ariel Therrien.
Kari West | Chief of Staff Chief of Staff Kari West, who joined Keeneland in 2012, works alongside all Keeneland departments and manages numerous projects. She oversees Facilities, Operations, Chaplaincy and Human Resources, and she works closely with Keeneland’s Board of Directors. Raised in Nicholasville, Kentucky, West received

a degree from Georgetown College and immediately after college went to work for the investment banking firm Ross, Sinclaire & Associates. She serves on the Board of Blue Grass Farms Charities. Kari and her husband, Robb, have one daughter, Elyn.

Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Christa Marrillia began her career at Keeneland in 2003. She oversees the Broadcasting, Communications, Marketing, Office Services and Retail teams. A native of Midway, Kentucky, Marrillia is a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She is actively engaged in the community as a member of
