The county is located north of Lexington and Paris is the county seat. Castle & Key Distillery, one of Central Kentucky’s most popular distillery destinations, began to sponsor the Bourbon in 2021.

Favored Tiz the Bomb drew away to win the Castle & Key Bourbon (G2).
Through 2016, Keeneland maintained separate course records for the Keeneland Course and the Haggin Course depending on the setting of a temporary rail. Beginning in 2017, Keeneland consolidated the course records into one set based solely on distance, not rail settings. (See page 218.)
