JULY 2013
ISSUE 1
This is the introductory issue of Liberty Letters, the bi-monthly Liberty Division newsletter. This letter is supposed to serve as a tool for our division to share our clubs’ activities and recognize club accomplishments. As you already know from my past e-mails, I am Kristal Gonzalez your Liberty Division Lt. Governor. My job as Lt. Governor is to support your clubs and represent you all on a district level. I am thrilled to be serving as your Lt. Governor this year and look for to knowing you all. I genuinely love to do community service and I want to get to know all of you this year so please invite me to your events.
I want to unite the Liberty division so that each of our clubs can realize its full potential! To do this, I have set a number of goals to help our division grow together. - Increase attendance at district events - Host one divisional social per semester - Attend a minimum of two meetings per club each semester - Organize one major divisional fundraiser per semester
Have a question, comment, or concern? Maybe you just want to say “hi.” Whatever the case, I am always available to you for anything you might need, so feel free to get in touch with me. *Note: I do not have a smart phone so if you email me it may take longer to get a response* Telephone: E-mail:

Care to Be Aware this initiative is an
opportunity to raise awareness about any cause or issue that is important to your club and raise awareness in your community. What does your club care about? As part of this initiative Governor Kelly asks the clubs fill out the 52 Acts of Kindness to track how your club is making a difference in your community.
NYCKI Health Initiatives: Get Happy, Get Healthy this initiative encourages clubs
to support and promote health habits. Remember health is more than just physical well-being, it also included mental and emotional health. Some ways to participate in this project are to attend walkathons for sponsored by organizations such as the American Cancer Society or Out of the Darkness, hold a campaign in your community to promote healthy habits, host a few drive, or work at soup kitchen. Be creative and share your idea with fellow clubs.
