Me with Kiwanis Governor Elect Eric Paul at a Holland Kiwanis Event
January 2014 Volume 1 Issue 1
Happy New Year! I hope everyone is enjoying their break and holidays. Mine is going great as I have many awesome CKI events ahead of me. Within the next few weeks I finally plan to start beginning to charter new Circle K Clubs in the Western Division seeing as Niagara University and University at Buffalo are the only two fantastic clubs in the area. I also want to begin planning my upcoming potluck dinner to raise money for the Eliminate Project. And lastly I need to reach my goal in getting 25 CKI members to this years District Convention held in Albany. With only three months left in my term I have a lot of goals to reach. But I know I can do it! I live to serve and love to serve.
Hey everyone! My name is Missy Keem! Your Western Division LTG. This is me at ICON over the summer of 2013.

P.S Don’t forgot to collect cans and bottles over break. We will donate the money to the Disaster that hit in the Philippines. Thanks.
Circle K on the DISTRICT LEVEL
Circle K goes above and beyond just your schools club. Every year there are events held so that you can learn more about Circle K and meet CKI members from clubs all over New York State! This is a great way to become more involved as a Circle K member!
District Large Scale Service Project was held in Ithaca this year at the end of September. This is a weekend full of Service.
NYS is held in Lake George every year in November. This is an event where you learn so much about Circle K through fun activities and workshops. NYS is a great place to meet new friends and help one another win fun prizes, complete service projects and spread your CKI spirit! District Convention is held every year in March. This is when we elect new District officers and attend workshops that will greater further your knowledge about CKI.
Don’t miss this year’s 52nd Annual New York District Convention coming up on March 14th through the 16th in Albany New York. You can find out more information by visiting the facebook page 52nd New York District Convention (2014 NYCKIDCON): Nycktendo. Or the official website http://nycirclek.org/dcon. The theme for DCON this year is Nycktendo. You must register by Monday February 10th or a late fee will be in effect. This is very important that we as members register on time so we can secure our spot in the hotel. Persons who register late risk a chance of being placed in a different hotel. Please contact either me or your presidents if you are interested in going so we can fill out the registration form. I highly recommend going if you are interested in running for an e-board position or a higher level on the district board. With that said, I am looking for the next Lieutenant Governor to take over the Western Division for the year 2014-March 2015. If you are interested please contact me and I will love to fill you in on my duties and what it takes to be a part of the District level. It has been an amazing journey thus far! I have met incredible people and learned so much about a fantastic organization. If you are passionate about this club then this is the position for you. Help me to continue to grow our division and spread CKI love.
