A Letter from our President by Buddy Candela
Dear KSUIF members, I hope all of you have had a great summer vacation! As many of you know, this past summer we have been working on our forth feature film “Unlucky.” Our team worked roughly 12 hours a day for 8 weeks straight and I can’t thank everyone enough. We created something really special, and it is absolutely wonderful to see so many hardworking and talented people collaborating on one project. Although we have finished principal photography, there is still a lot of work to be done for the film. This semester we are working to get the film picture locked so we can finish all of our audio editing in the spring. We are also going to be doing a lot of promotion and getting ready for our premiere on April 28th, 2016.
We have also just finished our miniseries “Heartbeat” and are still ironing out the details for a release date. Although it is sad to see some projects come to a close, I am excited to begin this new chapter in KSUIF history. This is our first semester as Student Media, and we are working very hard to build our brand and create awesome new content. I look forward to having a great semester with you! Buddy Candela President, KSUIF

After 43 days of almost non-stop filming, KSU students wrapped th filming of KSUIF’s 4 feature length film, Unlucky on Monday, August 3rd. The filming process was tough at times with schedule changes or Mother Nature deciding to rain with only a couple shots to go but students left with an unforgettable experience. Traci Williams and Dave The crew of Unlucky would like to thank Smeltzer for giving students the opportunity to make a full feature length film. KSU is 1 of 3 colleges in the nation that actually allows students to produce a full feature length film and it’s all because of Traci and Dave!
The crew would also like to thank their family and friends for being so supportive as we spent roughly 400 hours filming in 8 weeks. With Principle Photography wrapped we still have a lot to do before the red carpet premiere on April 28, 2016. If you would like to help out, please stop on by our office or e-mail us, we are always looking for people to help out! Hope to see you at the premiere!
