We are very close to launching our upgraded broker portal, making it even easier to place and manage cover online. With a personalised login, brokers will be able to quote and bind cover, receive instantaneous policy documents/ certifi cate of currency, and make policy adjustments while building an online business platform with SGUA.
We can tailor solutions to fi t your needs and provide marketing materials with the option to include your own branding. We are well placed to provide cover for property portfolios or schemes, o ering the ability to manage di erent portfolios through one platform.
ROWAN WATSON, MANAGING DIRECTOR
ROWAN WATSON joined SGUA in 2015 as general manager, bringing a wealth of experience as a chartered accountant with a background in corporate turnaround. The Watson family has owned insurance businesses in Australia and South Africa for more than 40 years. With this DNA in his blood, it was a natural progression for Watson to take the helm as managing director of SGUA in the latter part of 2019.
Less than six months into his appointment, the business was thrust into uncharted waters by the COVID-19 pandemic. Managing the volatility, uncertainty and complexity that this crisis presented has proved to be a litmus test for even the most seasoned professional. Under Watson’s calm and supportive leadership, SGUA has emerged from the challenges of the pandemic as a stronger, more cohesive team with an increased ability to move quickly and adapt to the changing times.
Providing sustainable, reliable products that help people protect their wealth and investment in times of need has always been at the core of SGUA’s values. This value has never been more relevant as we respond to changes in the industry, moving forward with an expanded product line that provides greater fl exibility for brokers and their clients.
