Welcome to our seventh issue of Jot, again packed with ideas, stories and things to see and do. It’s truly a smorgasbord of deliciousness. One of my fave parts of this issue is our Story Telling gallery. This time around we are focusing on childhood TV shows. As a kid living in a small country town we had just two TV stations so my childhood viewing was pretty limited. Although we still had access to The Brady Bunch and The Flintstones and The Jetsons plus Play School so what more did a 7 year old want! When we moved to the “big” city of Newcastle, we still only had two television channels. However, being two hours north of the even bigger city of Sydney, and living on a hill, we had the chance to pick up THREE extra channels with our “Sydney aerial” on our roof. The downside was the aerial moved. All. The. Time. So the signal would disappear as would our Sydney television shows. And I hated missing Simon Townsend’s Wonder World. This meant my dad would scramble onto our roof, I would be at the front door to call out to my sister to call up to our dad that mum, positioned in the lounge room near the television, said she still couldn’t see any channels. A little to the left, some tweaking to the right, a “how’s that looking now?” from dad and some more calling out to each other and eventually the reception would return. Until the next gust of wind would mess it all up again. Fun and games. These days my own kids have been fortunate enough to have grown up with many TV stations and access to far too many tv shows. We’ve been through the Power Rangers, Biker Mice, Pokemon and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stage and onto Madeline, Hi 5 and Angelina Ballerina once there was a girl in the house. Play School was loved by them all as was Art Attack and Blue’s Clues. Check out our Story Telling gallery here on page 78. We also welcome back Sian Fair again this issue. Sian is an ideas person. She always has such great ideas and this one is a beauty! Sian will be joining us over the coming issues with the Scrapbooking Bucket List - things to try in your scrapbooking journey. And some of the Jot Girls have joined in the challenge and scrapbooked something from Sian’s first list. Check it out here on page 12.

In January 2013 we travelled to the US for a family holiday. One favourite stop we made was the Natural History Museum in San Diego. My boys were very much into dinosaurs at that time so it was a great treat for them!
Type your journaling directly onto a 3x4 journaling card for a clean look. Use a small amount of “themed� patterned paper to keep within the theme of the layout but to not over whelm it with a busy pattern.
Add embellishments in clusters around your title to help draw attention to it.

I want to keep looking forward to scrapbooking so I need to push myself to try something new. And that’s why I’ve created a Scrapbooking Bucket List. Maybe you’d like to borrow it? I’ve got to warn you, though.. once you’re in, you’re in, and I’m a try-anything-once kind of girl: six ideas for each of Jot’s next three issues.

Her blog is filled with scrapbooking, sewing and her stories are sometimes nostalgic and usually light hearted.

my first six things to try Remember, you won’t know if you like an idea until you try. • A page about something you don’t like. As nasty as you like!
Maybe while you make it, you’ll have some new ideas for pages on things you do like and want to record.
• A page which is a letter. You could write to yourself, or
to someone you have never met, or use it as a way to say something important to someone you love (whether they ever read it or not). Or, find a letter from the past.
• A no photo page. This can be a hard one to make a start on,
but it’s worthwhile as a way of challenging your ideas of what a scrapbook page has to be. Can you tell the story without the picture?
• A page with a “found” object. Let’s get back to the old time
scrapbooks with tickets or dried flowers or a feather or anything you have picked up and want to preserve. If you are worried about bulk, think about making a page to put in a frame.
• A page with black and white photos which leave you free to
choose any colours you wish. How does this affect your design process?
• A page with someone else’s journaling. If you usually enjoy
this part, it might be a challenge to take a back seat. If it’s not your favourite task, commission a few words from a family member and get on with designing!

Florida Favourites By Sian Fair
For my first bucket list page I chose to ask my daughter to write about her favourite part of our recent trip to Florida. She came up with a shopping story, which she enjoyed writing; and I had a great time cutting up paper without having to think about what I was going to say. We’re going to do it again soon.

Lauren Hender - The Jot Team I gave my sister the task of journaling on my layout. As I handed my project over to her knowing that she also loves my son dearly I admit I was a little nervous. I wondered about these nerves and realised that with each layout I do there is an important emotional connection. We spend our time choosing our photos, papers and embellishments and then time carefully piecing it together all while remembering and enjoying a special person and moment. We then add those final special words completing the project which captures a memory in our hearts. As you can see my sister’s journaling did my son justice but I will admit I was a little unsure. Living on the edge while scrapbooking.. who knew {giggles}.

Anna Allan I am a coffee drinker (that will never change) but I have been making more of an effort to drink more tea as I actually do find a cup of tea relaxing and satisfying, especially served in my cute little floral teacup. I have been trying out new tea blends - this one I purchased online at Nectar Wellness Bar and it’s lovely. Gotta love the good-lookin’ tin it comes in too - looks very suave and sophisticated on my kitchen bench ;-)

Mardi Winen I helped out a local ‘relay for life’ team by teaching a ‘fund raiser’ class for 24 lovely local ladies. We used some gorgeous Heidi Swapp papers and mists and had an awesome day. We also raised some very welcome donations for the Cancer Council.

My afternoons are often spent helping with homework which can be challenging, particularly in the maths department. Maths was never my strong point - in fact I hated it and still do. Mention Pythagoras or Algebra and my eyes glaze over! Despite this, we muddle through and I am so proud of how hard both Georgia and Kelsey work. The hours that they put into their homework at a year 9 level is amazing. Their efforts alone get them an A+ in my eyes. I decided to use a full page photo for this layout as often the homework tasks seem overwhelming and I wanted the image to mimic this. The graph paper from the bottom is actually torn from an old maths book - ooops!

poolside Sharmaine Kruijver - The Jot Team I don’t know how many afternoons we have spent sitting at the pool while the girls have had swimming lessons. So this page is about the time spent with a numb bottom and soggy pants from being pool side. Wouldn’t change it for anything because it’s a skill that could save their lives. So the afternoons spent pool side are worth it. I added some gesso to the wood veneer circles in the hope that they looked like bubbles in amongst the blue splatters of water colour paint.

I knew my Wednesday afternoons were nothing short of chaos, but finding photos to even tell most of the story really highlighted it. Thankfully not ALL my afternoons are this crazy but I thought it might be fun to document one of our busier days. I really wanted my layout to look chaotic. With lots of little photos, scrawled journaling on strips and a messy background, I created a busy layout to compliment the theme.

Playground 4 Life blogger, Olatz Garaiyurrebaso lives in Bilbao, Basque Country, on the north coast of Spain. “It’s the most amazing place to live, and I still live in the same house that I grew up in with my family,” Olatz says. Olatz describes her blog as happy, colourful and creative and started blogging about 18 months ago when her boyfriend suggested that her pages were far too pretty to not share them. Mainly blogging about her passion for mini albums and sharing her layouts, Olatz also shares different types of crafting such as packaging, cards, home decor and her Project Life pages. “But right now I feel like I am ready to blog more about my process too, the things I like, some peeks into my life and just upgrading my blog with a broader variety of posts. I hope I can make this transition happen toward the end of this year.”

I am a daydreamer, easy going, with an easy laugh, although a bit shy at first, enthusiastic of creative things and brave.
today, I live... sometimes in my own little world, enjoying the moment, the about the right now... trying not to regret things but without forgetting what may come in the future. I love.. being with the ones I love.. I can’t stand being alone for too long.
I make... little treasures of what I find in my pockets like souvenirs from my previous adventures. I drink... 80% of the time just water, mil k and orange juice. The bubbles in the sodas make my nose tickle... I watch... cartoons on the weekend mornings -- ever since I was a little kid. I do... consider myself a bit of a freak or should I say: “Freak, I consider myself.” (in Yoda voice).
I am not... a fan of great bodies of water or their little inhabitants. I always... try to make the most out of every single day!
I document... the important moments of my life, what I want to remember, so that when I get older I can see basically how my life turned out to be on a year by year basis.
I am passionate about... travelling the world, getting to know different cultures and lifestyle s, finding the stories behind them and just learning to be a citizen of the world.
At 9pm you will find me... probably watching TV shows while I snuggle with my blanket on weekdays and on weekends I’ll be having fun with my friends at a bar.

What is the best thing about blogging? I love the fact that it allows me to meet a lot of great people who love this hobby as much as I do.
Where do you mainly hang out online? Mostly Instagram because it is so accessible, fun, and there are a lot of people who share amazing things there; and not just in scrapbooking, but also in every aspect of life. I probably also spend more time than I should around the Studio Calico website where I found a great community not only to be inspired from, but also a community who allows me to inspire others and share my love for this hobby.”
What are your paper crafting highs so far? Well, I started out by being on two design teams in Spain and then this Spring I was invited to become a member of Glitz Design’s Creative Team. I was so surprised and I just couldn’t believe that they wanted me to somehow promote their products with my little work. So, right now, I hope to continue growing as a scrapbooker, blogger and photographer and continue opening up the international community to me.

“Since I was a little kid I have always been very creative and I used to entertain myself by drawing and building my own toys. When I was 10, I won a national competition by the TV show Club Disney, in which my drawings won my whole family an (all inclusive) weekend at Disneyland Paris! Could you believe it!? Seriously, for a kid that was absolutely the most incredible thing that could ever happen. That probably pushed me to continue with my creativity and not leave it just as a childhood habit. Apart from that, I grew a passion for photography so naturally it was inevitable that I would end up loving scrapbooking, even before I knew that what I created with a few color papers, drawings, photos and stickers had a name.�

Do you always find yourself reaching for large photos, mist, stencils, layers, wood veneer, flair, thread, patterned paper, cut files, buttons, ribbons or journaling cards. Kim Jeffress - The Jot Team Anyone who knows me knows I love yellow so on most of my layouts I love to have a little pop of yellow somewhere on my layout. I also love cloud motifs. I do have the Fiskars cloud punches but on this layout I hand cut the cloud from scrap patterned paper. I also love machine stitching through my titles and embellishments, it just adds another layer to my project.

Whenever I sit down to create a layout I always seem to be reaching for stamps. I like using them to emphasize my journaling, to add a border around the page, or simply to stamp a heart or two. On this layout I included a “Daily Note” stamp as well as a little “Happy” banner down at the bottom. Other than that, I like to use spray inks and mists. I rarely use them with masks, instead I like to unscrew the bottle and add drops of inks. On this layout I used silver spray ink and added a few drops. Finally, no layout of mine is ever complete without stickers. I like to use alphabet stickers to write my titles, sometimes even journaling. I also like to include little word stickers or puffy stickers.

Old book pages, white die cuts and doilies are some of my favorite things to add to my layouts. I love the vintage feel of the book paper, and the pops of white from the die cuts and doilies add a nice contrast to the colors on my page. For this layout, I wanted to do something a little different than layer with book paper, so I mod podged several sheets of old book paper to a white background. I kept layering the papers and overlaying them to create a random, mismatched collage. Next, I layered my photo, a doily, a few white die cuts and a trimmed journaling card along the middle of my page. I finished with simple embellishments and pops of gold.

Every time I sit down to make a layout I reach for a few things. First of all I grab stickers/die cuts/journaling or Project Life cards. I like using them to layer behind photos, or as an addition to my title. The second thing that always finds its way onto my layouts is spray inks/mists. I like adding drops of black, grey and coloured ink here and there which adds a bit of mess to my layouts and creates movement. And finally I use stamps - either a tiny one to stamp a date, or a bunch of different sentiments to enhance a title, stamp a border around my layout or simply add a little heart or a star here and there.

Three things that I love are cut files, lots of watercolors or painted detail...and plenty of white space! I think I use these things on most of my layouts. The cut files are lots of fun. I like to paint them or use glitter whenever I can. I keep lots of little painted scraps in my stash to cut from and I cut most of my floral cuts by hand. Here I used a pretty frame and surrounded it with pretty cut leaves.

Sometimes I use inks or watercolours though lately I have been favouring bright acrylics. And pens!! I love a good pen. Sharpies and paint pens are my favourite. Plus machine stitching. I run over everything from paper to wet paint with my sewing machine stitching!

I’ve printed off some images of the children’s show and also used an image of Rainbow Brite, blown it up and decreased the contrast to lighten the image and printed on A4 cardstock. I’ve then added all the journaling and other printed images over the top of the background pic. I love taking a trip down memory lane - and this layout does just that!

Anna Allan - The Jot Team There are many kids television shows around these days - my girls have such a wide selection available to choose from. But amongst the vast number of shows on telly, there are a few that clearly stand out as favourites. One of the shows on my two girls’ ‘must-watch’ list right now is the Octonauts - it’s on every morning at 8:20 on ABC2. They are allowed to watch it before I take my five year old to school IF they are all ready to scoot out the door when it’s finished. My three year old loves them so much that when she saw a toy set of the characters at Target, she wanted them right or wrong!! Thankfully it was on special for half price, so I allowed them to come home with us. It’s made bath time a whole lot more fun too - I’ve heard many an adventure had by Captain Barnacles and his team ;-)

Kim Stewart - The Jot Team I always try to infuse lots of color into my layouts. I love playing with watercolors and gelatos and seeing what certain colors look like together. I painted a page using a pretty green gelato and navy blue watercolors and found it went pretty well with this photo of my little niece. I hand cut flowers and placed the cut page over the painted page for this effect! I love how the bright colors look along the polka dots!

Anna Allan - The Jot Team Ok so I’m a pretty huge polka dot fan! In this page I have incorporated the dotty look through using some polka dotted patterned cards cut up into half triangles. I have used a canvas bag (this one was from an old Studio Calico kit I had used) and cut it up to form the other half of the squares. To create the polka dots, I used a Mr Huey’s ink dauber and dotted away on that canvas! Fun stuff!

Stephanie Bryan - The Jot Team I love polka dots and circles and I decided to mix the two on this page! I started by choosing several polka dot patterned papers and a few neutral patterned papers and used my circle punches to punch out both large and small circles. Keeping with the circular theme, I punched out two photos of my daughter and then layered everything together on the page. My journaling is typed onto vellum and is also punched out in the shape of a circle. I chose a few round elements, such a wood veneer, paper tags and resin flowers to adorn my page.

I loved playing with these pocket style cards. Using some mixed media techniques I began with stencilling then added some stamping and embossing plus cotton and flairs. When stencilling I masked off areas using off cuts of paper towel to ensure I had no straight lines when I applied my misting ink. I added some doodling with my Project Life pen and flicked some black mist to tie in the black Iâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ve used to journal and doodle.

I love using Project Life cards in many different ways in addition to their usual purpose in pocket-style memory keeping. On this layout I have used a mix of 4x6” and 3x4” cards to create a panelled background. I like that these particular cards already have sentiments, quotes or words on many of them - and are already created with pretty designs, motifs, flourishes, so the need to add much more to the page is minimal. Just add a few photos and some random embellishments and/or text and you are done!

I have created this layout using a variety of journaling cards and a mix of photos from around my home. Some cards I have left as they are and just added mini photos and text - but a couple of others I have altered using gesso and colour mist inks. It was fun to just play around with different looks and designs. This layout will go in my Project Life album as a 12x12” full page insert for this particular week. I like creating extra pages for my Project Life album as it allows me to use the extra everyday photos that probably wouldn’t usually make it due to lack of space. I love that I have been able to include little everyday snippets of our life around our home.

Profile of a Project Lifer Meet Lisa Webb - an avid pocket page scrapbooker who lives with her husband and 11 year old son on the Sunshine Coast. I caught up with Lisa for a chat about all things Project Life. How long have you been doing Project Life and how often do you work on your pages? I took up Project Life just 18 months ago.. Starting January 2013. I pretty much Project Life most nights. I will scrap and plan five nights a week in my amazing scrapping space, one night a week to edit photos and print out and the other night per week I go to bed early!
What are your tips for staying organised and up to date? I have only just become up to date for the first time in 18 months. I try and have my little system which is to edit and play with my photos and print them out so I have two weeks in my album ready to go. If I don’t do this I am sitting there for ages trying to do this and then scrap.. I find I waste too much time. I am very sorted with all of my supplies. I like everything at arms reach so I don’t feel like I’m sinking into a hole. I have all of my photos saved into a weekly album on my iMac. This way it is much easier for me to chose which photos I want to document.

â&#x20AC;&#x153;I must say I do love the Becky Higgins Design A as I like the line up of the middle 3x4 photos. However, I am a real mix it up girl. I love to use lots of different page protector designs throughout my album. I mainly use Becky Higgins, Simple Stories and WRMK brands. I love changeâ&#x20AC;Ś not using the same page protector design all the time. This can sometimes be a challenge for me as I tend to include a lot of detail so there is a lot more work for me in the smaller pockets but I love the outcome.. Lots to look at.â&#x20AC;?

Do you have a dedicated Project Life space? I am the most spoilt Project Lifer when it comes to having my own space. I have an amazing to die for room which is huge. My room contains enough table space for six girls to have a retreat plus a king single bed for my boys to chill out on so we can all be together when I scrap on weekend nights plus it includes my sewing machine, my tv and it is full of love and creativity. My room is the soul of my home. Like my husband says.. happy wife happy life.
Do you do any other scrapping? In the 18 months I have taken on Project Life I have only done about four 12x12 pages.. Project Life is a full on commitment for me. I have always been about 4-5 weeks behind so there is not much time to take on other projects. I do sell hand made cards to a cafe. This keeps me busy as well. I have no deadline with these.. Just whenever I feel like a change I will make a bulk pack. I love making these.
How long does it take to make a spread? I am a pretty slow Project Lifer. It would normally take me about three nights to do a weekly spread. I love doing what I do the way I do it.
Do you print your photos at home? For the first six months I used to print all my photos out at Harvey Norman. I love their quality and I am a matte girl through and through. But after the frustration of not having the right size or colour or I would change my mind about the photo I wanted to use, I then invested in the best ever Epson Picture Mate.

OMG she is my little baby! The best thing I have ever, ever bought. It’s so convenient, quick and easy. Compared to 15 cents a photo at the store, the Picture Mate does cost about 22 cents a photo but the convenience is truly amazing. I have no waste and no driving to the store for processing. I also love it that I can custom my print size to anything I want which is perfect for Project Life.
What camera do you tend to use? I know so many people use their phones for everyday snapshots but owning five Camera House stores up until last year I just can’t do the difference in quality in prints compared to my two cameras I have (compared to the iphone). I have an awesome Canon GX1 which is in my bag 24/7 and when we are going out or to the beach, a walking track, or just to the park for a picnic I will always take my Canon EOS 600D. I am still an amateur so I love to play, play, play. Out of all the shots I will take and practice with using my 600D I will always have a few photos I adore. And practice makes perfect right?
Do you work from a kit or just use whatever supplies you have on hand? I have purchased many core kits but never really use all the cards from one kit on one weekly spread. I may use a few but I love to still cut up 12x12” papers and just use what looks great or what suits my photo or theme at the time. There are so many divine journaling cards and papers out there. I just can’t help myself.. I want them all.
What are your favourite embellishments to use? My most favorite embellishments at the moment are definitely wood veneers, flairs and cameras! I just can’t get enough of them. I do love to doodle around the edges of some of my cards just to give them a personal finishing touch.
Do you jot things down through the week or do you have any tips for keeping track of what you have done? Oh no I am not that organised. I simply go back to my photos of the week I am working on and my memory is pretty good just by looking at the photos. I do make sure though that I have my photos edited and printed and popped into the page protectors for that week. At least this way I know which photos I have that I want to scrap and the photos that are important for me to document.

Doing Project Life weekly is such a full on commitment for me but I love it. The best part of it is to sit back on the weekends when I have time off and to look back through my album and see what we have done. And remember what I have created. I love when my mum comes over from New Zealand and she can sit back and catch up on what we have done for the past 12 months or so. My son is always excited when he is a key factor in most pages.

How do you organise your supplies? I have a nice big wooden tea tray that fit 6x4” and 3x4” cards into perfectly. I have this at my side with my most recent and newest cards that I love. I have my others stashed in a Close to my Heart container. These are fantastic. I store all my embellies, inks, stamps, 12x12 sticker sheets, wood veneers, tools, card stock, threads and washi tapes in my amazing trolley. It is the best thing, besides my printer, that I have bought. It has 12 drawers which are a perfect 12x12” size. It sits next to me at my desk and I simply take it to my weekly crop night as it is. It is perfect!
How do you plan your pages? I start by choosing my favorite and most important photos of that week. I have my page protectors for that week in front of me. I then edit and print out these photos. Slot them into the pockets where I chose them to go. I then scrap each pocket as a little scrapping page. Sometimes I may colour coordinate more that week than others.. Depends on what I am using. Then lastly I do my WEEK NO: journaling page. I then colour co ordinate it with the rest of my week.
What is the most challenging thing about Project Life? I have had a couple of major challenges in my life in the past 12 months. I found these times truly hard to document.. But I have.. Warts and all. This is my life and it will be documented as I live it. A couple of these times I have printed out my loves on Pinterest that make me happy. I put them in for that week.
What inspired you to start Project Life? I love to document our weekly lives. It is so great to look back on. Life goes so fast its hard to keep up, so it’s great to recapture these moments. I love being able to scrap more than one or two photos like I did when making 12x12” scrapbooking pages. And a weekly spread can tell such a story. I truly love the whole concept of Project Life. To me it is an art form family diary.
How do you connect with other Project Lifers? The one thing I have found with Project Life and scrapbooking in general is the amount of beautiful people I have met on this awesome journey in my life. I am online daily with all these fantastic girls who continue to inspire me. I love social media. This is a great place to keep in touch, up to date and share our passion with each other. I have my own Facebook Project Life group called Snap it up Project Life. All the girls in here are fun, loving and we all share the same passion.

My animal loving daughter was thrilled when she learned we were making a visit to an animal safari about an hour from our home. In fact, she took most of these photos. As we drove through the property, we literally came eye to eye with many animals and had the opportunity to feed them. There was also a small animal encounter area that was a bit more tame, although the donkeys were a bit aggressive, almost knocking me down at one point!

By sticking with photos that are true to the pocket size (3x4, 4x6, etc.), I’ve been able to greatly simplify my process. I’ve taken out all of the guesswork about photo sizes and it has made Project Life so fun, easy and rewarding for me! After I add in my photos, all that’s left to do is pop in a few journaling cards, type some thoughts/words, sew a little on my cards and call it done!

The left page is about my first visit to a new restaurant, â&#x20AC;&#x153;World Breakfast Alldayâ&#x20AC;?. Itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s a tiny space, and people sit at the long tables like a school cafeteria. The main concept is to taste breakfasts from all around the world. Menu items change every two months, and it was Indian breakfast for the special menu in July and August. They prepared a small brochure for this unique breakfast, so customers understand the food on their plate.

dear diary. There’s a lot to celebrate with the arrival of spring! Although, shhhhh secretly I don’t mind the cooler weather too much. It’s quite nice to wear flannie pyjamas and fluffy warm slippers isn’t it? Mmmmm I might even be a bit of a granny as I do enjoy a blanket over my lap when the TV’s on at night. Anyhow, September’s here, the sun’s out today and life’s good. It’s all been happening in this household, let me tell you.

The love fairy has come to visit both boys in recent weeks.. ..but the outcome of her spells has been mixed. She may need to have her magic wand fine tuned! Scott has been in and then out of a relationship with a girl whom I’d gladly have adopted. She’s drop-dead gorgeous, funny, smart, and musical PLUS academically focused to boot. Talk about having the whole package! Sadly after only two short months, that’s gone by the way just as I imagine the relationship statuses of many 15 year olds do.
His brother Liam, however…. Well let’s just say I think Liam may be in love. He and his girl are both 17, in their final months of schooling and wonderfully suited to one another. Both boys had more interest in skateboards and computers than in girls until very recently and that is really not a bad thing. I’d heard the talk from some other mums that they had felt somewhat displaced when their son found his first love. But I must say I haven’t encountered that at all. For me there’s been a sense of relief that Liam’s found someone who adores him and through whom I now have an alternative pathway to suggest sensible ideas.
The real winner in all of this has been little Miss Gina. She’s possibly even more in love with the girlfriend than Liam, if that’s in any way possible. Luckily said girlfriend is incredibly tolerant and interested in child care as a post school option. So, phew, Gina has been considered an added bonus rather than a pesky little sister.
dear diary. Since I’ve last put pen to paper, Diary… Mike the farmer has been on his annual two week holiday. Once again, he and farmer Dan travelled up north for a spot of reef fishing. Gina called and spoke with him on the phone every day unless they were too far off shore. And she was enthralled by his stories of sharks, squid and eskies full of fish.
As a result of this yearly boys’ getaway we have fish almost leaking out of the freezer. In total, Mike has brought home around 40 kg of filleted and wrapped freshly snapped frozen reef fish. Mackerel, Coral Trout, Red Emperor and others which to me all look the same once filleted and in plastic. Now, many of my friends have literally begun salivating at the thought of so much freshly caught fish. Meanwhile, as a non fish eater – I am attempting to control my gag reflex. Ewwwwww fish and so much of it. Diary, yes you’ve known me a while, and you know there is only one type of fish I actually will eat.
That would be the fish and chip shop variety, which is battered and crumbed, deep fried beyond recognition and laying beside a potato scallop on greaseproof paper. But, did you know Mike doesn’t really like to eat fish either? How silly! The freezer is chock-ablock and will stay that way until he loosens the emotional connection to the food he’s hunted and gathered. So… if you know of anyone who, in a couple of weeks, would like to take some fish off our hands – send them my way. There’s plenty to go round. Once again Diary, thank you for listening to my ramblings. There are so many things on the horizon, I know I’ll be busting to come back and share them with you soon.
