Dear Presentation Partners, Sponsors & Exhibitors This year Kinetic took the step of combining IoT and cyber security in merging two flagship ICT brands on the African events calendar. The Forum Campus in Bryanston hosted seven sponsors, 26 speakers and 200 delegates over the two day period. The event was highlighted by a rigorous discussion around the potential of IoT and the dynamic nature of return in investment when executing with the technology and the distinction between compliance and security when communicating with the board of corporations. There was a healthy engagement from the delegate audience and the workshops were interactive and very well received by the attendees, and touted as one of the more memorable cyber security events in 2019. EXPERT KEYNOTE SPEAKERS Experts from various industries formed part of the agenda over the two days. Speakers from Barclays Africa, IoT NXT, Blockchain Academy, PWC, Accenture, Mimecast, Standard Bank, Cybereason, Layer 7, Panda, MWR and Cyberstream provided insight and advice on both IoT and cyber security to the delegate attendees, on some of the most challenging problems facing organizations today.
VARIOUS TRACKS AND SESSIONS The two day event covered the two most relevant topics in organizational technology: IoT and Cybersecurity. The IoT track focused on identifying a return on investment in IoT and exploiting the digital convergence driven by IoT. Whilst on day two of the event the cybersecurity track took aim at cyber security ecosystems as the key to security and aligning the board for risk, governance and compliance.
INTERACTIVE EXPO FLOOR The networking floor was a hive of activity and discussion between delegate attendees and solution providers. Encased majestically in the Forum building, vendors engaged with delegates through a multitude of mediums.
MASTERCLESS SESSIONS The workshops are the backbone of the Kinetic summit structure and the 2018 IoT and Afrisecure summit was no different. Delegates were treated to 8 one hour, in-depth technical workshops that explored topics from IoT security to zero trust and a live hack simulation.
