EXPERT KEYNOTE SPEAKERS Industry thought leaders from across the continent and innovative businesses shared their insights and presented keynotes that were reflective of the rapid transformation taking place in the IT industry and the impact this has on evolving job roles and functions. This included key discussions on new technologies advancing growth in the industry, as well as charged dialogue about the need for transformation of the IT industry in South Africa through the inclusion of more millennials and women not only in the Board, but a concerted effort to develop and nurture existing talent within IT departments across the organisation. The conference session hosted alongside our practical wokshops became a one-stop shop to keep you updated of the latest trends and developments shaping the future of IT in Africa.
The IT Leaders Africa Summit continues to develop unique business platforms that endeavour to enrich the evolving needs of the IT community – in 2018 we will be merging the IT Leaders brand with Africa’s leading cyber security summit – Afrisecure. Both events will be co-located and hosted in Johannesburg, with ITLA focusing on IoT as a central theme; whilst the Afrisecure Summit theme will be centred around adopting cyber resilience to combat advancing cyber threats to the future/digitally astute enterprise.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS & KEY TAKEAWAYS
The networking floor was abuzz throughout the event, hosting a series of workshops, interviews, business discussions and the highly anticipated cocktail function. Attendees and delegates alike were imparted with practical knowledge on how to make their businesses great and excel in an increasingly competitive IT landscape.
This new and dynamic component was introduced at ITLA18; which involved connecting sponsors directly to delegates to impart advice and thought leadership regarding issues that affect the organisational operations of the IT department within SME enterprises and big corporates alike. Sponsors were given the opportunity to present themselves as change agitators and drive discussions centred around the most pertinent issues affecting delegates in their organisations - including discussions that delved into the development of future women CIO’s and the nurturing of existing organisational talent.
