KintĂŠ Taylor E X C E R C I S E 2 Dashboard for Motor Scooter My concept is a dashboard for a motor scooter. Instead of the dashboard being physically attached to the scooter the plan is for the dashboard to be a heads up display (HUD) in the helmets goggles or visor. I chose to place the HUD in the visor instead of a physical dashboard because I think that trying to fumble around on a regular dashboard on a scooter would be very dangerous. Functions such as speed, odometer, time and radio station would be displayed through the goggles of visor. You would have the ability to turn off and on specific features in the HUD. For instance, if all you wanted to have displayed is the speed and the odometer that would be possible but the display options would have to be set before you start your trip. General Motors and BMW offer some cars with a speedometer, odometer and a navigation system, but the way the visor HUD differs is that the features can be tracked by your eye movement. To turn on or off the display you would blink in succession 3 times. Looking at your speedometer will slightly enlarge the speedometer for a duration of ten seconds. A rapid glance to the right or left will change the radio station. Winking with your right eye will change from FM to AM. The rearview mirror is actually a backup camera. This camera is a small window displayed in the lower left of the visor. When you actually start to back up that small window will enlarge and move to the center of the visor.
