If there is anything that our committee can do for you let us know or put an idea in the suggestion box. We’re here to help. Continued on Pg. 2

UPDATE AROUND THE OFFICE. BACK ON TRACK We want to let everyone know that due to a computer glitch we were unable to get out our February newsletter. We are now up and running and ready to surge forward. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we bring you up to date on current events around the office. First off we want to brag about the Shocker basketball team.. They won the regular season Missouri Valley Championship. Go Shock’s!!! Their record is 30-0. They are the only team in the nation that is undefeated. Not far behind all this excitement is March Madness. Check your emails and keep your ears and eyes open for some March Madness events. We’re sure you will have lots of fun. I’m going to continued on Page 2

Continued from page 1 (Updates) start with some facts you might find interesting. We all know that the name for WSU’s athletic teams is the Shockers & collectively, students are also referred to as being “Shockers”. The name reflects the university’s heritage. Early students earned money by shocking or harvesting wheat in nearby fields. Early football games were played on a stubbed wheat field. 1904 was when they became known at “Wheatshockers”. That name was never officially adopted but caught on till it was shortened to Shockers. WUShock came to life in 1948. Now to win a prize! If you know the answer to the following questions you could win a prize. You need to call me, Donna Schulze – 554-2828, leave your name, date and time of day with the correct reply and I’ll let you know if you are a winner. Question 1: In 1904 the WSU Pep Club members were known as what? Question 2: We have an agent in our office that was once a WUShock mascot. Who is it and what year or years did they hold this honor? So I hope everyone reads the paper and I’ll be waiting for your calls.

Coming up on March 4th is Mardi Gras. We always celebrate this holiday at the office and this year is no exception. Although some of the agents will be gone to the RE/MAX convention, the rest of us will still celebrate. So come with your beads and we will have King cake at both offices around the noon hour. Take your chance of getting the King Baby. It brings you luck and you get to furnish next years cake.
